Having been through this myself. This is the biggest thing I'm looking forward to. I haven't been able to relax when in a massage shop since that happened to me. So I've mostly stopped going or very occasionally see a private

My regular at a non FS place said when I come next month she will happily go further, but condom required. I once asked at this place about FS, and they said definitely not, and even denied they do extras while happily delivering them to me.

Hoping this is no longer relevant, or possible post-1st August, but what were the ramifications for you? Did you get a fine or anything? Also, assuming the door was locked, couldn't you just say you were there for a legit massage?

Yep its a relief. I have never had that issue. The only time I was worried once was in Western Sydney when some council people turned up to a property I was seeing a lovely lady having fun with at the time. It was in Castle Hill though which is Hillsong country so to speak......enough said.
I did see a police car out the front of Vivi's or very near there last week. Might have been visiting another shop along there though

Happened to me at the toombul massage house, the first and only time I've been there.

I've been busted, a long time ago, but no problems. I think that unless they actually catch you with your dick in the girl, then you are there just for a therapeutic massage.

Why in theory? Are there still grey areas?

Will we see a difference in advertising today? Anyone seen any blatant new ads?

In theory because I am assuming Visa raids will still be on the cards and while not our issue still don’t want to be stuck in the middle of one.

Recently saw a ML who once was one of my regulars but whom I hadn't seen in a while. She's running a little shop on the north side.
At the end of the session I brought up the topic of the legislative change, and she was completely unaware of it. To the extent that she asked me to send her proof that it was true and I wasn't BSing her.

As stated before, I wouldn't expect anything to change in a hurry...

Sex work is no longer a crime in Queensland
All types of sex work are no longer criminalized in
    Queensland.

Decriminalization changes the regulators of sex
work and the role of police
    Previous regulators, the Prostitution Enforcement
Taskforce (PETF) in the Queensland Police Service
(QPS) and the Prostitution Licensing Authority (PLA)
are being abolished. QPS will no longer have a role
in the regulation of sex work.
Police entrapment powers (posing as clients) were
    repealed in September 2023.
This signals a major change to how QPS should
relate to sex workers. Sex workers should expect to
be treated with respect and to have any reports of
    crime against us taken seriously.

So from today we are now free if some cunty old bitch calls up to police to complain about a massage shop, the police will say well that's not illegal and do nothing.

I hope someone ups their game and leads the way, sydney shops have websites with weekly schedules and photo's, even if most don't show their face at least you get an idea of what you are getting before booking.

Fee refunds for brothel licensees and managers
The Amendment Act also repeals in full the Prostitution Act 1999, and as a result the Prostitution Licensing Authority is abolished. There will be no sex work specific regulator or licensing system for sex work businesses.
All fees paid by brothel licensees and approved managers will be refunded on a pro rata basis calculated from 9 May 2024, with fees paid after that date refunded in full.

I went to a regular yesterday who is in a smaller and quieter shop. Usually when we get down to business she shuts and locks the exterior and room door before nuding up. Today she just got it all off without the precautions she usually does.
