Problem is she may want to join in and then you’re spending $600 a week instead

I wrote an app that debited cash out of my account every month. it deducts as a "license fee" like a proper business.

That $$$ just goes to a random debut card (like revolut) that my gf has no idea about.

    Can share details if needed

Small price to punt. Sounds like it'll be the least of OPs problems

In news today they said use of cash is stable the past few years. Thought of all you fellow creeps when I saw the piece! Lol!

Of course I use cash for punting well as groceries at paddy's markets.

Increase in number of RnTs is definitely sustaining cash usage !

Sorry I have to chip in here. I'm not saying we have to go back to the 1950s when husbands ruled the house, but anyone who has relinquished their autonomy to the point that they get audited on their relatively minor spending by their wife has really taken a wrong turn somewhere in life and should retrace their steps and fix it... whatever the cost... otherwise you are trapped in a living death. The only exception would be if you are one who lets her earn all or most of the money and are leeching off her...if that then fair enough that's part of the deal

Negotiate with the ML/WL for payment in kind instead of cash for service.

Ask to wash her car or mow her garden or drive her kid to shcool or take care of her old mother instead of having to pay her cash.

I’d start learning the art of not punting so often . Maybe every 4 weeks and choose wisely and walk the other way when they don’t match the description. Keeping a minimums cash float and when making purchases do a lil cash out if they store can do so

For all those on their high horses with the "you should be able to spend money or withdraw cash with no questions, you've married a detective" lines, appreciate the advice but I didn't start this thread on Aus99 for marriage tips.

Some gfs/wives have no fucking clue about money. Others do

Always use cash for a punt. Don't withdraw it from the same suburb you're punting in either.

Open s side account, set the postal address for your work place. Every workplace allows you to split your pay between 2 different bank accounts.
After doing this, start salary sacrificing into super, this explains less $$ going into the joint account. If you go $150 into salary sacrifice, the reality is only do $75, the other $75 goes into the side account.

Personally I get all my pay into my own account and transfer to the Joint account, I always carry and use cash for almost every purchase I make. Cash is King and I don't want it to disappear, that's why I use it, its also the reason I give when questioned why I have so much cash in my wallet. As soon as we have the next banking shutdown where people can't access their money eg Efpost network goes down, use this as your excuse to switch to cash.

    Some innovative ideas here.

There was a work mate having this cash punt problem, where He would do a PayPal transfer to my PayPal and I would slip him cash.

Said his account only showed online payment.

Just thought of a scene from an old movie Reality Bites. Winona Ryder's character ended up with no cash and only a CC in her hands. So she goes to the bowser and waits there. She pays for people's fuel with the CC in exchange for cash (I think at a certain discount to make it worth their while?).
Maybe OP can do something like that.
