Well, I have been a long time Clarkey fans, so I am not ready to give up on the Captain yet, but he needs a big century very quickly to restort some respects back into the batting line up.
I think we had lost the first test in the first innings:
Even when our bowlers had restricted England to only 215, our batsmen let us down!
A team who batted like this really don't deserved to win any test:
Cowan 0
Clarke 0
Haddin 1
Siddle 1
Starc 0
Pattison 2 !!!!!!
We were 9 for bloody hell 117 - what were they thinking !!
From there, the feel good story started to happen, the Agar and Hughes show was fairytale stuff, which put us right back on top.
From then on, we have plenty of chances to street away and win the test comfortably but we only have some individual fighting spirits in some of us, as a team, we are way behind England. Clarke had made some terrible decision with the review - in comparison to Cook's match winning review !!
Then we have the Broad - not walking (with no review left !!), dropping of Bell, and ............... well, too many to recall anyway.
Yeap, I agree, drop Cowan, bring Warner back into the side, he can provide some X factor in the middle order, and DON'T GIVE UP !!
Cheers
