I try to go for fruits if I can get them. A banana or 2 is perfect, but sometimes I go for an apple. If I can't get fruits, I go for cookies, candy bars, a plain croissant, etc., things you can get from a cafe, and have them with my coffee.
I also usually take the med after my coffee if it was a lunch time punt. This is easier to time. Coffee + easy to digest "snack" at around 9am, pop meds at around 11:30am, punt at 12:30pm-ish.
I used to go for a slice of banana bread but I found them to contain too much fat. Sometimes I'd still feel like I'm not ready to pop the meds even at close to lunch time.
