And yes, cars, clothing, handbags and so on CAN and do go up in value — part of a cycle. Strangely, so does housing. Weird but true.

Or were you generalising, along with the inference, that any woman — more so an ML/WL — buying a sports car is some kind of financial bimbo?

If we’re talking STUPID financial choices, a gambling habit is about the most damaging thing you can acquire.

As for the other items I listed, those were GIFTS. Real value, and they should be added to her overall economic picture. If you want to be pedantic for comparison when talking about yearly income, add the tax she is not declaring back on top of the estimate too.

The gifts received , None of that makes the ML/WL a stupid financial decision-maker. She may only be guilty them of making a poor choice.

No, I do not have a Rolex… too crass.

I do have, amongst a few watches, my grandfather’s gold retirement watch. It is ugly AF, but worn with happiness.

The point of this thread was about income.

Not stupid versus smart investment choices.
Well said Mass .. never underestimate a WL/ML of her financial savvy OR her intelligence and compassion .. as stated not all are bimbos (plus heartless and junkies) as presumed by some punters
