The thing is that it wasn't the first time something similar has happened to my friend. I guess he just has the appearance of someone that would sell drugs, although I'm not sure why some people think that.

This. Buddy and I did a Gold Coast road trip and drilled coke all the way up, great trip and we both passed the road side drug tests. At $300/Gm I guess it's not really a day to day drug they target.
Whilst coke cant be tested via MDT, if you are one of the unlucky ones and your bag is jumped/laced with some other gear that's going to get picked up.

By the way that shop probably has the worst reputation out there but continues to be busy due to it's low rates so I'm sure a mention of drug taking activities on a forum won't do any harm to it's reputation or business.

Not having a go, but why do you think the police know, but dont care? You would think anecdotal evidence and council pressure would be enough of a motivator for the fuzz to at least have a quick nose around. I agree the wouldn't care too much about users, but evidence of actual supply is taken quite seriously.
