Aussies are doing Ok in the one day game against NZ.
We definitely have more world class batsmen in the one day game than test game.
Test game; Warner, Smith, Khawaja.
One day game Warner Smith, Bailey, Finch, Maxwell, Faulkner
Disappointing that Maxwell and Faulkner were omitted but we are still doing OK.
And Head is doing really well!
Smith now holds the record of most run in an ODI at the SCG with 164 runs , too bad he got out the next ball but he's done the job for the team . And that one hand diving catch to his left will be a classic catch highlight reel!
Ps. And Maxwell took a screamer too as a replacement catcher, he has to be included in the next match - sorry, Marsh has to go !

After so much rain delay and Pakistan declare and the match seemingly heading to a draw, firstly the big David Warner ton, then Khawaja 97, Steve Smith's Captain's knock of 165 no out and a quick fire 84 from Starc ( 7 SIXES !!) and declare at 624!
With two sessions and 4 overs to go, the test match suddenly came alive, one wicket either side of lunch, then Garry Lyon's two wickets in 3 balls over, Pakistan is now 4/64, still 117 runs behind, we can win this !!

Two changes for the Test today, Maddison has been dropped and O'keefe comes in for Bird.
Agar gets a recall as a second spinner and a batting allrounder . He did a 98 batting at no 11 with Philip Hughes in England on debut in the Ashes but hasn't been seen much since . May be he is more ready now ! In career best form at the moment in the BBL so looking forward to see if he can hold his form ?

Day one in Pune was full of drama , if not for the heroic of Renshaw (68) at the top and Starc (56 no) at the bottom, we would have been bowling last night with not much on the board !

Another 20-30 runs this morning will be great. Still don't understand why the Marsh brothers were recalled and Khawaja out ! And Zampa took three wickets the other night against the SL, may be a late call up if the other spinners are not effective ?
