							Hi Christmas, this is referring to your blog. First your mechanic said it was an oil leak, now he is saying it is your timing chain - a 2.5k repair on a 5k car. One problem doesn't lead to the other. A timing chain goes gradually. For a month or two the engine will feel rattlely, it will vibrate as things aren't being co-ordinated properly by the chain. Then, if you keep driving, the engine will shut down completely, it will seize up. Is that what happened? If so, how did you drive it to the mechanic and why was he diagnosing an oil leak first? If you drive it without oil it will seize up too. But you get plenty of red light warnings about low oil first. Now he is saying it is the timing chain?
It sounds a bit suspicious. You said to him you didn't know anything about cars. What do you other gents think?
