I agree with you Raybo, Christmas is pretty funny and would be fun to share a table with. I love her salty language.![]()
Her web log is excellent (sorry I haven't registered yet to respond.)
If she did decide to work again as she has just hinted you could have your cake and eat it too Raybo.![]()
To Christmas and Babycat: do many/any customers mention their forum user names to you when they punt with you ?
If so how many or what percentage ?
I may come back when I'm like 70 and provide great gummy job. Nothing will scratch your D i guess
Ehh.. can't think of any at the moment, i think there were a few but definitely not many.
X11 cmk76 maximpact etc all I figured it out when I read their reviewsand others of course by PM etc
One said somethings strange to me while he was waiting for another one, then I could guess who. Actually after that he PM me and said that was him. Dongsen Caff
Uncle said hello to me and I could know that was him too.
One didn't tell me his name in the forum but just said hello. He said he's just a reader.
One didn't tell me but I could guess who he is. Oh he's so obvious.
One could find out who I am recently by linking up all the clues here. He's so clever, and nice. But I don't know his name here
So that's where they got the name gummy bear from.......
Hahaha.thanks for the pic jerry! You've made my day yet again!
That's how gummy bears are made![]()
Hi Christmas, this is referring to your blog. First your mechanic said it was an oil leak, now he is saying it is your timing chain - a 2.5k repair on a 5k car. One problem doesn't lead to the other. A timing chain goes gradually. For a month or two the engine will feel rattlely, it will vibrate as things aren't being co-ordinated properly by the chain. Then, if you keep driving, the engine will shut down completely, it will seize up. Is that what happened? If so, how did you drive it to the mechanic and why was he diagnosing an oil leak first? If you drive it without oil it will seize up too. But you get plenty of red light warnings about low oil first. Now he is saying it is the timing chain?
It sounds a bit suspicious. You said to him you didn't know anything about cars. What do you other gents think?
Both those problem require a lot of labour for the mechanic, lots of dollars in his pocket, and a few cents worth of parts. - the timing chain the most labour.
Any good garage mechanic around ??, it's time for you to offer your services and parts for Christmas for return in kinds !!
If you do a good job this time , you can service Christmas' car every six months , rego check and all that, this could be a good partnership with benefits !!
it sucks!
firstly my friend found oil leak under my car, his hands were covered blackish gunk,.. then Mechanic towed that car, said there's no leak.
I don't know maybe it was no oil, just gunk, or maybe he cleaned all shit and keep try to be dodge.
He then even showed me the broken parts. part is definitely broken.
My car was totally OK but I think since last week I smelled very nasty oil-burned scent when I drove.. I told him about this smell when I checked up and he changed some filter thing and it seemed alright for 1 and half day.
and then later I smelled it again, it stopped all of sudden middle of no where! shiba....![]()
