I ignore anyone who abuses the exclamation mark in their AR. Not because I am a grammar nazi (guilty sometimes) but because I can't take them seriously. I imagine someone speaking to me directly when I read the AR, an exclamation mark at the end of every sentence makes me imagine the story is being told by some clueless moron.
Also it seems obvious that they are inflating their story somewhat. I don't dig that. I want it straight up without embellishing the details and light on the metaphors.
Also it would help to know the age of the punter writing the AR. Hate it when I am certain a wl is gonna be hot and 30 years old at most. Only to find out later that she is not slim, not attractive and probably close to 50 years old. That's when I realise the AR I am relying on was written by an old codger. So now I just presume that every AR is written by an old bloke unless there is evidence to the contrary.
