It's most likely a rest day for most. Some would go to church and not want to work on the sabbath.

Some shops have different girls on Sundays, but remember not all girls work all six other days either.

Yeh, I was in Adelaide recently. Fortunately, only for a few days.
I don't think they would be getting paid sunday rates either (time and a half) If I was a working lady I would most likely take the sunday off to rest go to church etc.
