Airport staff are looking for commercial or trafficking quantities. I take a bunch of personal meds and vitamins when i travel (and i used to travel A LOT) and have never been questioned either in Oz or another country. However you do need to be aware of the regulations in different countries. What is ok in Oz may be illegal in other countries. For example, Codeine often used in cold/flu pills is illegal in some countries.
