Why is it, btw, that farts to fartees always stink but only very rarely to the farter?
I guess the farter is used to his own smell, that’s how the olfaction works. Like a garbo can tolerate the smell all day, but we can’t even follow a garbage truck.

I was under the impression that the reason farts smell is so that deaf people can appreciate them too! hehe
Interesting question! They actually did some research on this and found that it's because when you fart, your brain automatically goes into "fart expectation mode", so it dulls your sense of smell. Here's a link:

I personally think this was a flawed study. The real reason MUST be, because our arseholes are at the opposite end of our bodies from our noses. Our farts are aimed AWAY from our noses, as mother nature intended!
This would elegantly explain why, when you fart into your doona, you're gonna cop it as much as your partner.
The worst case scenario is forcing them which could incur the dreaded "follow through"........

45K cases in NSW overnight, Victoria has a massive jump from 21K yesterday and now overtaken NSW with 51K.
I think the government has either lost the plot or given up ?
Victoria cases are not all yesterday a lot are people self reporting rat tests from early this week
Both lost the plot and give up. That's the song Freedom! Freedom!. Interesting to see how WA going to be the next weeks with their Gestapo border lockdown.
Granted, same with NSW, plenty positives were backlog due to delays in pathology testing but still, all these cases are current and live cases in our community.
Can't blame them for not wanting to mix it up with us. They've either been very lucky or very good at keeping their numbers down. They also stand to gain very little from opening up borders because their tourism/hospitality industries are extremely small compared their main earner which is mining.
