Hi Jenlai
Thanks for your question and happy to share intel on here or on DM.
Two resources I use are Airbnb and Dayuse. It really depends on the offers as it can change at different times of the year depending on events etc.
I also called around hotels / serviced apartments that had low occupancy and went and did deals with the front desk manager. Always saying that I was in town for business and just needed a hotel room to meet clients and do some business.
They all know what you are up to and most will just turn a blind eye. Just turn up well dressed and play the part. If you are mooching around in track pants and dirty sneakers then you have no chance.
I aim to spend under $100 for an Airbnb or a short stay in a hotel. The deals vary so you need to do a bit of research using the options I provided you. I've been able to secure rooms for as low as $50 before - so you need to do some homework.
Would be great if you could share your successes back on here as well.
