Leaving the room a few times to go to reception or whatever is very annoying and kills the mood. Even worse when they take ages to come back. I'm paying her to stay in the room, not constantly leaving it!

Better way to do it is to lock the front door and put a sign up when they're next available. Or at some shops the reception area can be locked off from the rooms, leave a sign there
