I didn’t mean that the average income in Oz was $100k, I meant people earning average $100k a year would’ve been the target market of sex shops. That cohort would now be hard pressed to be able to afford punting costs.

And I disagree with the notion that people would cut down on “necessities” before punting. If they can cut down on something by choice, that means that thing is not a necessity.

Real necessities are housing and food, for example. How do you cut down on those? Go homeless? Don’t eat?
