Most countries in the world are like that, in exception to Russia, China and North Korea.
Democratic govt systems usually rely on coalition formations to balance out the power grab but internal corruption is what's causing the coalition to suddenly side with the biggest party.
Anyone heard of a lady named Doris Day?
Previous Labor governments in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s slashed immigration during cost of living crises, which helped contain house price rises and rents.

Interesting.
The net overseas migration level of 454,400 made up more than 80 per cent of the 563,200 population increase, when births were factored in.
This is sh_t for our wallets, but fantastic for the increased numbers of uni students needing to earn a decent income to buy their luxury bags, to cope with the FOMO caused by following stupid influencers
Whoever you vote for, it seems the higher the ranking the less life experience. Do you think Albo has worked a normal job at all. No. He has been embalmed in socialist politics and the meaningless life of keeping in favour with other party aparachiks. Probably forgotten how to open a car door
We need the Australian version of Screaming Lord Sutch.
The thing that else totally sucked this year was no rebate on tax returns they just stole hundreds more dollars from under each of us and no one said a word. This country really needs some better leadership. Maybe some new blood on the scene a new party that will stop the way things are going. The fuckheads running the country now are going to bankrupt to many average people. Poor people who earn $1000 a week gross have to pay $750 a week rent then electricity and other bills. How can the average person get ahead, somethings got to change. Australian Punters Party sounds good will they help reduce the prices some WLs are charging?
Bro I'm hearing you. But nothing much can be done. The political cadre and dangerous faceless public servants for the last 30 years have been mediocre and effete (bearing no fruit, ineffective, useless). Under their watch since 1990 we are importing up to 400 000 people a year and not making any plans where to house people, and not overcoming local council resistance to building medium and high density housing
Politicians generally own investment property so didn't change anything as house prices rocketed. Would you? Meanwhile the next generation have already given up on owning a home
A little trivia for you. Did you know the NSW liberal government gave the Transurban company until 2060 to profit off all the Sydney tollroads. Transurban can increase tolls every three months until 2060. Believe it or not, in 2060, taxpayers will have paid three times the actual cost of building the tollroads. We should have just borrowed the money and taxpayers don't deal with this profit hungry menace. Countless times in 30 years we were wrongly sold the idea that privatisations help. They actually corrode public wellbeing
Politicians are like nappies: both should be changed often & for the same reason...
Just look at how many dodgy politicians are caught out on both sides of the fence.
