Smack bang across the little laneway from SBM. We used to joke about being caught going into the shop by Sony employees, now it's going to be full of students, parents and teachers. Common sense dictates that this will be a big threat to SBMs position, unfortunately.

The laws state you can't open a brothel close to a school; fair enough. But the brothel is already there, I wonder if the law works in reverse?
Unfortunately, yes a brothel or sex work premise can be closed down if an appeal is made based on it being close to children regardless if it was there first. It's a very sad turn of events for this great shop.

Think this was challenged a while back when a church wanted to set up shop in an industrial area and the local madam used all the same objections that the do gooders always use. Not the kind of people you want in the area. Late night loitering in the area....... Gotta be some law people in here that could take up the fight. $39 million to then convert the place so its not like they are short of cash but that alone shouldnt be enough to bully other businesses already established in the area.
