There’s a weird (to me) fixation on change as a mark of quality in the last pages. They don’t keep changing the taste of Coca Cola, and the last time someone did have that bright idea it didn’t go well. Don’t feel like Coca Cola today? It’s, ok, there’s Fanta/Sprite/whatever elsewhere
There is an argument that MAC did change its Coca-Cola formula. It used to be a haven of competitively priced MLs visiting from Europe with regular renewal, in addition to the other MLs. That was its distinguishing feature from a lot of other shops. Now you just have Kat who regularly appears, Julia who appears in stints to top up her private earnings, and Robyn’s occasional appearances around her civilian life.
AGREED, SPT. But then, I like my regulars, not having to start from zero EVERY time. And with SYD's great public transport system (well, barring work actions), easy enough to visit other shops when you want variety or to broaden your regulars.
Why? I certainly have shops I prefer, and I do appreciate a gentle flow to avoid stagnation, but not churn.
When the newbs deliver sub-par performance, it taints both themselves AND the shop. Luckily enough, not every punter reads this forum, because given the baa, baa, baa attitude of so many, 1 negative AR would seem to impact both's viability.

Just the other day, had an interesting conversation with a senior MILF. She's overloaded (what can I say, gents, I AM a stud), but seriously, she is just about all repeat business, so tries to redirect some to her junior colleagues. But then they do a sub-par job ("yes, he paid for 60 minutes, but he was done in 45, he left happy, so what's the problem? Win-win"). I'm thinking, you know, it's not just Thais who might not be happy even when they're smiling at you... The juniors don't get repeats, blaming the senior for siphoning off business... And senior is hesitant to continue to suggest less alternatives for fear of alienating long term clients. Business slows for all.
