His references are hard to get because they're from ages ago and/or obscure.
I would say ignore most of his references, and focus on other stuff he says to try and get the point he's making. But yeah, assume he's just being snarky and reply in kind if you'd like.
Yeah. I think it's because he's been around for so long, so he sees the same questions being asked over and over again (which I kinda get), but he can get pretty heavy handed, which I don't agree with, when he can just ignore a lot of the comments.
Especially a lot of times when he replied saying he could give the answer... but won't. And then make a vague reference to the search function or google.
I remember that - he was basically saying, "you ask a lot for someone who hasn't posted any ARs", but as you've mentioned here, you mainly share intel via PMs (which you have done with me, so thank you for that).
More of a perception problem that I think got overblown.
