the best way for me to keep my punting under control is that my VELP (any Tim Minchin fans?) can see my cash flow and can see where my dollars are spent. Some may not like this but for me, it keeps me under control. If I could do anything I wanted with my money, it would be gone each week on sex, drugs and grog. SO by being accountable to someone else, it makes it very difficult for me to just go out and make $150 disappear with nothing to show for it. There's ways around it, putting $20 or $50 away every now and again and after 4 or 6 weeks there is $150 added up then i can spoil myself. This keeps me under control.
