He also has that dodgy shares deal in his resume and I'm sure he would chase his dream to privatise Medicare (the way libs started cutting funds to healthcare and as result we have a co-payment now).Frankly, I wish I could vote for Chris Minns to become PM instead of Albo

Just watch Jane Hume's (Shadow finance) interview on ABC, she is clueless. Lambie embarrassed her quite well.

Albo is not what I expected but Dutton is 100 times worse . I just hope he retires from politics, can't think of anyone more hateful than him. I am all with Malcolm Turnbull. He makes the worst prime minister for a multicultural country.

Politicians are like nappies: both should be changed often & for the same reason...

I think the Americans would either love Trump or hate him. Unfortunately he’s now the most powerful man in the world - again! and everything he does would affect millions of people world wide.

Ps. There are now two versions of MAGA - make America go away !

I think Trump has the right ideas, but the way he implements these ideas is very questionable. I understand he is playing the long term game, which will benefit the country in 5 years time. Until then, majority of people will be hit hard.

What a load of fucken cow dribble and horse shit!

Trump ain't a fucken politician he's an old fat greedy business man that is running the US like a fucken giant business. It's all about greed, power, profits and money, and it ain't get any simpler than that!

As for our politicians they're all fucken spineless, clueless and crooked lying fuck wits - the only time a politician tells the truth is when he calls another politician a liar. Anyways everyone knows the only difference between a politician and a flying pig is the the letter F.

Plus you get more truth and facts from an Escorts & Babes ad than you do from governments, politicians, religions, science, education and the legal system.

The original thread was 11 years old in the Brisbane GT section and talking about Tony Abbott at the time, gee, hadn't time flown !!

Looking back a bit, since the steady hands of Johnny Howard, we had 7 different Prime Ministers (with Kevin Rodd making a brief return but gone again when he loss to Abbott).

Personally I think the Labours had a good run with Hawke and Keating, then it's the LNP's turn with Johnny. They were all good PMs in my book, compare to the bunch we got today at Canberra, which is pretty ordinary to say the least. Our close friend the USA didn't do too well either, look at what Trump and Joe and now Trump again have done to their country !

So, what do we have here, Albo again or Dutton ?

    What say you ?
To hell with both of them.

Always love the way you tell it as you see it DA.
Trump is a lot of things but stupid isn't one of them. America, and for most of the world in general, is heading for the proverbial brick wall. Their debt, more than 34 trillion, is not serviceable with taxation. And most think they already pay to much tax. The implementation of tariffs is not to effect other countries. It is to make the businesses in America more viable against those countries. After WW2 it was known as protectionism. And it was in place across the world so that countries could get back on their collective feet. And it worked.
As for the merits of us discussing politics on this forum, I can see it turning into batshit arguments. But whilst the merits of either side can be debated there is, to me anyway, one policy that is a no brainer. Nuclear power is the only sustainable solution to energy efficiency. If you don't see that, then I can't help you. How it happens, what form it takes and where it ends up is something to fight over. But something that has a 60 to 100 year life span and will operate continuously, against something that suffers from wind droughts, or needs a battery to continue and both have 10 to 15 year lifespans.
I can still remember the Whitlam era, and the campaign slogan of "It's Time". My grandmother infamously said to a group of us that if Whitlam was the answer, what was the question. When the Labour party pushed Albo in front of Bill Shorten I often thought to myself what was the question. 👍

Lots of people in the US and around the world are currently resting upon the idea that as bad as the next four years would be under Trump, he won't be around when the next election comes, so hold on tight and things will get better. However, in a recent interview, Trump hinted that there are some pathways around in which he could seek a third term and that would bring on a whole new ball game:

I believe the question was "who has a better looking head?".

I think most people are probably now looking at Thomas Matthew Crooks like he's a tragic messiah who failed at the most crucial step. Just one inch more to the left and he could've spared the world all this pain. Like a modern day repeat of Claus von Stauffenberg's failed assassination of Hitler.

You maybe late to the party here. Crooks was the patsy. Shooter was in the water tower behind. Missed Trump and then shot Crooks. FBI and local police are in a spat about it. Seems CIA, although being referred as Military Establishment operative at this point. More will come out in the months ahead. Everything has been deep cleaned in record time to destroy all evidence but it appears someone has the bullets. And they are not from Crooks gun. Stay tuned.💰💰💰
