Really? The Voice is your main problem? Inflation has been reduced to low levels, unemployment is low, wages are rising, check the stats not just how you feel.

Prices went up under the coalition (mostly due to covid price gouging and government overcompensating businesses by $40 billion that didn't need support) but name me a time in history when prices have actually gone backwards and what a government could do to make that happen.
The first way to deal with recent higher prices (and record profits) is wage growth.

Name me one coalition policy that would help with any of this. An actual policy, not just "we'll improve growth."

Thanks for your concern, the reef will be fine for generations to come despite the apparent climate "crisis".

Out of all the things to not "believe" - the climate crisis is the dumbest one

What's the downside of us actually creating a more sustainable and green world with less pollution?

Does that hurt your soul that much?

Like even if it's actually a made up lie by scientists all over the world, explain what is actually the down side???????????

Less fossil fuel emissions? Less pollution?

LOL fmd the brain rot is so real

Nothing like an ignorant butt hurt cooker. Watching your party get annihilated must suck. Australia is a far better place without Dutton holding any influence.

Scientific concensus says otherwise, but you can believe whatever you want.

Lets see what Australia will be like in 2028...the last 3 years has seen an 8% decline in living standards.

Curious about where that figure comes from. Does it take into account the drop off post pandemic payments, jobkeeper etc?

I find it so hard to understand how people can brush off climate change as fake and made up... It's absolutely insane with today's access to the internet...

Comfortable life, huh? That just about sums up the problem with the LNP. This party appeals to people who aren't needy but want even more comfortable lives. Empathy for the struggling poor? Fuck that, it's a dog eat dog world and the future that Dutton offered was exactly that. His idea of a good image is himself "making it" by flipping houses. He unashamedly admitted it. What about future generations, how are they gonna be able to afford their own homes? Well, you just gotta "get ahead" of all your other fellows.

A dog eat dog country. That's not what Australia is about, never has been.

Eh, he's probably talking about how inflation has eroded purchasing power. But that's world wide because central banks around the world injected trillions of dollars of liquidity into the money supply in response to Covid. So it's hardly either a liberal or labor problem to cause or solve.

Prior to liberation day Dutton positioned himself almost like a Trump-lite to appeal to the disenfranchised voters. He likely calculated that if it could sweep Trump to power, it might work for him. But Australians tend more towards the tall poppy syndrome while Americans do not. And after liberation day, Trump revealed what a dumb fuck and economic moron he was with his breath takingly stupid world wide trade war. It was too late for Dutton at that point.

Yep...I have a few meagre assets because I worked hard, saved hard and always paid my taxes. I had only received money from the government was when Kevin Rudd handed over $680 during the GFC...I never asked for it. My taxes have been paying for so many others that refuse to work, I do not have a problem donating some of my taxes to the genuinely unfortunate in life...probably the same as most people do not mind giving for sad cases. The thing that shits me is people on the taxpayers tit who give nothing. Dutton is a self made man with much more than I will ever have, through his hard work and business smarts. Albanese , on the other hand, worked for the Commonwealth Bank for 6 months, then was flipping pancakes at the Rocks for a few weeks , and since has been in one way or another in and around politics...all on the taxpayers tit.

Well, flipping pancakes is a lot better than flipping houses. In fact, I'd call that more "self made".
You've got to understand that making money by making an extremely basic necessity of living (a roof over one's head) scarce is a passive way of making life a lot harder for the rest of your fellow Australians. There are plenty of other ways to make money, yet Dutton chose this way. That fact alone made him an active participant in creating the problem that he's supposedly going to fix as PM.
The irony of it is impossible to ignore!

So, by buying a house off a willing seller, making some renovations, then selling to a willing buyer is some sort of immoral behaviour? Does that make life harder for the buyer or the seller?
