1. Unless there is evidence then it’s just slander. And potentially trouble for the forum for allowing it

2. If there is evidence then it’s a police matter

This is all that really matters.

You lend money to family and friends you actually care about, but you should do it without the expectation of getting it back because you are helping them out.
'Lending' money to a stranger is the same thing... except there's no real relationship there.
