I have had a couple of private messages with members after leaving comments and reviews and talked other recommendations.

But is there a lot of private messaging happening on this forum between some members with recommendations rather than them being posted publicly?

I assume so, and what do I need to do to get involved?

Send a PM to whoever and ask them a question. It's a good idea to offer them your own intel as well. Go from there.

Thanks Fred, I meant more an established group of top members sharing intel between themselves rather than posting most of it. I would expect this to be the case.
