Wrong. The census data covers greater Sydney which is an unrealistic portrayal of Sydney. Also you need to access a different part of the census that filters out non-answers.

But in saying so the 2021 is unreliable due to the circumstances it was taken in that we had closed borders. And we're due for another very soon. Rn my estimates are that Sydney is 38% Australian born, esp they there was a huge influx of arrivals after we reopened our borders
