No simple explanation. It was a different world then. Prostitution was illegal yet the police were in league with criminals. And churches were involved. The Irish Catholic, English Protestant divide was real with fallen women treated differently. I had a close relative who was a doctor at the Woman’s hospital. Her patients were mostly sex workers. Some would work on a Saturday night then go to confession on the Sunday morning. Others would go back to hubby on the upper north shore. It really was a different world.
The moral questions around prostitution were far sharper than today. Yes, your point about hygiene is correct. But then the Catholic Church forbade condom use and the brothel owners were not naive in their guilt games. And you know how mixed up working girls can get. It’s far more complex than just clean with condom, dirty without.

And it’s not that sex with a condom is “clean” either. A bloke I know has picked up syphilis from a sex worker in a shop- and he is religious (excuse the pun) about always using a condom!! Doc thinks he got it from sumata or a bj.

So let me get this straight… Humans have been upright for 3-4 million years, prostitution is the oldest profession on the planet, and barebacking has literally been around since the fucken dawn of time. In my view there's two reasons why Bros don't share BBFS on this forum.
The first, as mentioned earlier, is the pile-on and preaching they receive after they report it. As if this forum is the benchmark for high moral standards !
The second is they want to feel special. They've been let into the inner sanctum, and they last thing they want to hear is 15 other blokes doing the same thing on the same day.
