But it was truly a team efforts too, many players had stood up where it counted:

Redemption for Bunny Hunt, the field goal he kicked in Canberra to put Broncos into the pre-lim and with the all important week off - payback for the drop ball on kick off in the 2015 GF loss to Thurston's field goal thereafter in the golden point.

Redemption for Captain Reynolds, the sideline conversion he kicked in Suncorp to eliminate the 4 times Premier Panthers and lead Broncos into the Grand Final surely made up for the goal he missed when Panthers won their first.

Funny thing is, both Hunt and Reynolds (with 700+ NRL games between them) were on the sideline when the "baby Broncos" fought hard to defeat the Storms and won their first Premiership in 19 long years.

You could not have written a more dramatic and more heart warming script !

My report card: you can do the sum for what I collected on Sunday night based on the above, for a small time punter, I think I did good, riding the Broncos/Walsh train into the sunshine and moonlight. I couldn't believe my luck when most of the try scorers I have been backing throughout the years and in recent games had all scored in the GF!!

One ticket especially worthy of a mention was the double/double I placed on the NRLW/NRL: Broncos 1-12, Upton try on to Broncos 1-12, Walsh try @$20.00

Hope all you Queenslanders out there had a great Sunday evening and win big - you all should have - if you had footy bet.........................haha

    Go Broncos

    Go Queensland

    Until next seasons.

    Cheers

ps. pity the Mrs is watching so tight lately and no chance to spend my winnings.................lol
    Nice punt you got!
I got up on a multi, Broncos to win, Walsh to score and Walsh for the medal. Only if I had put more on there aye. Good weekend nonetheless!

That jinking, fending, bulldozing try by Walsh from 30 metres must have been like some of the great ones talked about from the 50s and 60s. As an athlete it must have felt great for Walsh to do it.

    Missing your reviews too !

Ps. What about your years of browsing history. Any risk of your good wife seeing that?

Many of the commentators had declared what Walsh did in the GF was the most "Completed" performances they have ever seen. For both end of the field: he scored one himself and set up 3 others. saved a couple of tries especially his tackle on Papen right in the last 30 seconds which could have seen the Storm did a "Queensland" on the Broncos and undid everything Walsh has done on the night.

And Walsh had done it three matches in a row coming from behind: 16 points behind vs the Raiders, 14 points vs the Panthers and 10 points vs the Storm. What a game and what a player.

The scary thing is, he is only 23 !! if he stays fit and healthy, sky is the limit.

Really looking forward to see if he can keep that up in the Kangaroo Tours in England.

    Go Walsheeee !

    Go Queensland !

I don't use my phone to visit the forum anymore, if I did, I deleted the history right after.

Mrs is watching me very closely, got to be careful, as I am approaching retirement, last thing I want is becoming a lonely man...............lol

Did treat her to some nice restaurants over the long weekend and enjoyed the winnings..............haha

It's Cup time again and raining in Melbourne, will go through the Cup field and share my tips on the big one later.

just for an entree in the eve of the Cup, take a look at Celine Gaudray, the second lady jockey in this year's field, I did win on her when she won the Geelong Cup two weeks ago and will put $5 each way on her horse 23. Torranzino @$31 - an outside chance only.

This video from Racing.com show case her fit lady jockey body around 54 kg (her usual weight - but will get down to 51kg on cup day), take a look and see if you like what you see (me I like her tightly wrapped C Cups............haha)

OK, this is it, and the rain has stopped, Flemington is a Soft 6, so I guess most horse can probably handle that:

    Here are my thoughts:

The Caulfield Cup form is still the most reliable and the top 4 from Caulfield can all win this without too much surprises.

The Cox Plate only provided one runner and Buckaroo almost ruin the party for Via Sistina. He's the class runner.

The top weight hasn't won for a very time and for good reasons, but Al Riffa is the premium stayer in the field, he is probably in the same class as Vinnie Roe who was beaten by the Diva in the wet with top weight and there ain't no Diva in this field.

There's you half dozen top chances, just have to find a bit of value to add to the trifecta:

So my tips this year for the Cup is as follows:

    1. Al Riffa 7-1
    2. Buckaroo 11-1
    6. Presage Nocturne 9-1
    10. Flatten the Curve 19-1 French horse with very good form
    14. Half Yours 8-1
    17. Furthur 41-1 Northern Hemisphere 3 years old with upside,
    21. River of Stars 17-1
    24. Valiant King 10-1

Sportsbet fixed odds exotic: showing not a bad result if they are successful.

    Fixed
    Avg: $2,639.91 Max: $9,901.00 Min: $526.00

The cost for 1 unit to box the 8 horses is $336, 1/2 unit is $168. but of course, you can just put $50 or $20 on it and win a smaller percentage just for the fun of it.

Sportsbet Same Race Multi also allows you to bet up to top 10. and if you put all the 8 horses to run in the top 10 in what ever order, the odds is $141, which is pretty good too even for a $5.00 bet

Good luck everyone, hope I have some good news to report come 3.15pm

    Cheers
