    Antibiotic resistance is serious business.

Also, what is not often said is the immune system gets compromised as men's bodies deal with STDs and recover.

Just because there are drugs to fight STD infections and recover from them does not mean total success, because the immune system becomes weaker and non-STD infections become easier to pick up.

Ditto with vulnerability to cancer, where in reality cancer is not an infection (not a virus) but the body's failure to deal with creating defective cells......

In summary, people who have been sick and recovered do not have the same quality immune system as those who hardly ever get sick when other infections/diseases knock on their doors.

Not down playing the risk etc but the joint has a population of 122m.

More relevance would be where the numbers are located/concentrated.

It's been offered to me a handful of times for a fee at Ginza in the last couple of years, always J girls. I always refused since if they're offering it to you, they're probably offering it to everyone. Those girls no longer work there (the ones I saw anyway). I have done it with WL without paying extra when I was younger because they were into me, this is going back 15 years ago, some even turned into situationships outside shops, luckily never caught anything. I think it's riskier now since more people engage in hookup culture. You can catch it out in the wild too. I have a friend who doesn't go to shops, he's a good looking rooster who picks up easy and he's gotten the curable ones a handful of times from "regular" women.

At the same time, BBFS is the norm for sex work in Japan, and sex education is overall poor, so it's likely that it's concentrated among sex workers and customers, but also that the numbers are actually higher as it's generally under-reported.

    Slightly tongue in cheek.
You guys reckon J girls don't use condoms because of all the censorship in their porn? All the dicks are pixellated in JAV. They can't even tell if the actors were dommed up or not.

most of these J girls are on prep !! but of course that does protect against everything.

    seems they think it does.

Not just the J girls. Seems to me it’s become common amongst younger working girls from everywhere. It’s surprising to come across Thai or Korean girls now offering. It’s always been common for Chinese to use it as an enticement for repeat business. But really quite shocking to get the offer from Koreans.

And why is it "shocking"? No offence intended whatsoever.
I just think that: is it possible that we are now being slow, a bit behind the curve?
Just as we were slow in recognising the threat of the HIV pandemic and therefore slow in taking up the use of condoms to prevent the spread of HIV, maybe we are now slow, again, to recognise the impact of PrEP/PEP on the singular topic of condom use?
If the need to use condoms was precipitated by the prevalence of HIV (at the time), wouldn't the introduction of a different (one might argue, an even more effective) prophylactic in the form of PrEP/PEP render the older, less effective prophylactic (yep, looking straight at you Mr Rubber. In all your piercable, tearable, misuseable glory) practically useless?

I may be overstepping a bit. Maybe not "useless" but certainly not optimal. I think you get my point.

Maybe we need to think about this and not just blindly bag all these WLs that break all the rules that we've been taught since childhood to accept. Maybe they're simply ahead of the curve and we're not?

    Excellent point GoldfishMan.
I just mean shocking as very surprising because I remember being lectured by Korean working girls about sexual health. I even had a very short relationship with a Korean who insisted on always using condoms. Gave me a slanted view of Korean women as being overly uptight.
But you are right about a paradigm shift that older blokes are slow to pick up on.

I wouldn't call them uptight. Just slow to adapt. I'll admit, most of us are, ,myself included. I am far from being a pioneer, but I do try to not be the last one to realise that the sky ain't falling and I can get out from under my desk!

Theres been alot of uncensored leak versions in recent years, and, decensorship with better technology - ironically, they pretty much all wear condoms.

Tens of online sites show uncesored Japanese porn movies. Just type "Japan sex video uncensored" and they're a dime a dozen.

Well, that's the thing about Japan. It's a strange place with strange laws. If you live in Japan, you're actually not allowed to create or access Japanese porn that was uncensored. It's illegal.

A Japanese person living in Japan who doesn't go out of their way to get uncensored porn or risk being caught doing it, will be stuck with censored porn.

Years ago it was even weirder. Retailers were not allowed to even sell Japanese porn to overseas markets. Shops like DMM would have a geolocation filter that prevented access to their online shop from outside Japan. Not sure what's the status now.

Was offered by a J girl at fireflies .. accept I did. Which is unlike myself. Was ChatGPT and googling my odds for catching something 5 mins after leaving.. the odds seemed in my favor 😅 .. I’ve been paranoid about phantom sensations since but believe I still have a %100 clean record. Agree the practice should be stamped out for everyone involved. HPV seems like scary stuff.

"Stamped out"? So you prefer enforcement rather than self-discipline? Seems the latter is much easier; well, at least for some.

Life is full of risk, risk to simply crossing a street (especially for me as I instinctively look the wrong way). So I prefer to cross with intersections with signals... I don't insist that every intersection has a signal (do like school time - crossing guards near all schools). And some shop's stairs... thinking of you Yoko, you miss that top stair on your way down, that could be SERIOUS trouble...

And as to "safe" sex... you should ChatGPT on herpes. Vaccine for HPV, for herpes... And while that condom protects your shaft, good luck on your ball sack...

Just saying it's up to the INDIVIDUALS involved. You don't care for her "attitude", feet don't fail me now.

The classic STD infections are very well researched and treatable. The really scary one is HPV which can cause cancer years and years later.

The Association Between HPV and Cancer

    - HPV infections account for roughly 5% of all cancers worldwide. This is not a small percentage when you think about cancer.
    - Some HPV infections that persist for many years may increase a person’s risk of developing cancer.
    - HPV is a common cause of oropharyngeal cancer (cancers of the tongue base and tonsil) and currently accounts for the majority of new cases. I have personally known a man who had tongue cancer and it was removed. He ended up living a miserable life for 2 years then died when it came back in his neck.

My 5-cents worth: Never, ever go down on a prostitute. Licking that cunt is as dangerous as fucking her without a condom, if not more dangerous. Forget about the few minutes of enjoyment or your ego trip and thrill of "making her cum".
