Don’t scare guys off. Punting is the only way of sex for single guys like us. I used to be on the verge of severe depression but regular punting saved me. My GP encouraged me to punt regularly because sex is an essential part of heathy life for men. He also asked me not to be too scared of STD as most of them are curable (won’t stay for the rest of the life!) as long as we take necessary precautions and take tests regularly. Most of the MLs are healthy vibrant young girls and they take good care of their bodies- don’t treat them as dirty sick hotbed of disease. If you visit 1 or 2 MLs regularly, it also significantly reduces the odds of catching STD because you are only exposed to 1 or 2 people (an advice from my doctor). I agree that if you are not single, better quit punting to be responsible for your other half because the health and moral risk is always there.
According to the data provided by the other punters here. Gono and Clamydia are mostly pre levant in Australia. These two are curable to the best of my knowledge. However, it’s not the case for HIV or Herpes.
Just HJ or CBJ should be fine, take precautions when you do FS, and if you are really worried you can get tested every three months, it is safe in most cases.
The really important point is that in Australia, the available data tells us that a sexworker (ML or escort) is no more likely to give you an STI than the non-sex worker. So the take home message is that if you have unprotected sex with someone who isn't your partner, then you should get tested regularly. Testing for G and C is free, it's quick, free and anonymous.

Here are some stats for HiV - In 2023, there were 158 new HIV diagnoses reported in Queensland, with the majority of cases occurring in the Brisbane area. I googled the same and found the following: In Queensland, HIV infections are primarily caused by the transmission of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) through unprotected sexual contact and the sharing of needles or other injecting equipment. Specifically, male-to-male sexual contact is the most common mode of transmission among notified HIV cases in Queensland. Other contributing factors include heterosexual sex and injecting drug use.
It proves my understanding. I guess the heterosexual acts are mostly crazy stuff like ONS or group sex. I never heard anybody getting HIV visiting brothels or massage shops. Don’t worry, if anybody catches HIV from a ML in Brissie, it will be the biggest news of the year and everybody on this forum will know who the ML is and where she works.
There is a full report, HIV in QLD 2023. Page 9 details new diagnoses of HIV by sex and risk of exposure. The 3 major risk factors are a) male to male sex, 2) male to male sex plus intravenous drug use, 3) partner from a high prevalence country (none of the Asian countries are classed as high prevalence; high prevalence countries are mostly in southern and western Africa). 15% of cases involved heterosexual sex as the pathway for infection.
On page 12...Of the 137 new cases in males, 30 acquired the infection in Qld. Of the 21 new cases in women, 2 acquired the infection in Qld. So, of the 158 new cases detected, 32 were acquired in Qld. The important number is not the number of cases, but where the infections were acquired. Likelihood of being infected in Qld was the same across all of Qld, except Central Qld where it was lower. This is important as while the largest number of cases were detected in Bris, this is not where many of them acquired the infection. The 2 female cases acquired their infection from their partner who came from a high prevalence country. Over the period 2018 to 2023 the source of female infections was nearly always their partner who (1) engaged in male to male sex, (2) came from a high prevalence country, (3) was an intravenous drug user, (4) was already HIV positive. 1 case was an injecting drug user.
This all boils down to the conclusion that acquiring HIV from a ML in Brisbane is vanishingly low.
