While we are on the subject gas anybody used viagra past its use by date? Sadly I have a few about 6month past the date. Im generally never frightened about taking old medications as they build in margins but I believe they become less effective. They ran out as Id switched to cialis for a while which definitely last much longer when on the tools
I've been taking them past the expiry date for as long as I can remember. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, as long as you keep them well. Make sure they're in a dry cool place. Either in their original blister packs or just recycle any old vitamin pill bottle you've got and keep them in there. If you've got the dessicant packs leftover from the vitamins just keep it in there with the pills so they'll keep extra dry. Otherwise you don't even need them.
I heard that those dessicant packs are supposed to keep pills dry while the bottle is unopened. Once a container is opened, they actually absorb more water into the bottle. Keeping pills in blister packs is the way to go.
As with most prescription drugs the active remains effective after expiry, if stored appropriately. Hard to speculate just how long tho ...
