Well, I updated my first impression. In retrospect, I think she is kinda cute. The main thing is, I was told by the ML I was seeing that’s Poppy. She confirmed it. The different account of her skin colour is what I found it odd.

Dark skin = darker than other Japanese girls (tanned, not pale). Hope that’s clearer.

Chinese Snow also worked Tuesday who I would describe as cute. She does have pale skin.
Maybe the girl you saw made a mistake or hadn't met Poppy yet?
