They have a skill set that's in demand. Do you? If so, ask for a raise, or jump jobs. If not... get one.
Go be an expat, again if you have a skill set in demand. By definition, that pays better than domestic. Move your family and it's tax FREE (if you meet the time requirements). Be away from family, friends, a society you know (and you get a paid home leave).
As SunnyNorthSydMassage said, no sick leave, no vacation, no super, no workman's comp. How long will your career last, your shelf life? 30 years? Most providers don't want to be working in the life for 30 years. If they are, they're probably taking a pay cut.
If you can't beat them, join them.
