Great to see Stevie Smith got his hundred and steady the shop!

Great support play by Haddin and Johnson!

6 for 326 I think the Aussies are slightly on top. If we are still batting at lunch tomorrow we should be somewhere near 370 to 400 and that's a good lead for our bowlers to go after England !!

    Go Aussie !

Anything over 300 is a great score, and assuming we can manage even 200 runs in the second innings, and assuming Mitchell Johnson (MJ) is fit and well, England are up against it

    Go Aussies

Its a good batting wicket we need 400 every one who has got out so far has got out to a bad shot, Clarke and Warner perhaps got out playing the wrong shot to a good ball or one that did something but even Clarke wouldn't get out like that if he had just had a look at the spinner before he tried to get after him.

Still try to get used to the Perth time, later starting time (for the Eastern States) means I can watch the game duing prime time with dinner, not bad at all.

we have 4 wickets left, how many more runs can we get before lunch, will Steve Smith and Johnson still be there - if so, that will be awesome !! 400? 450?

You got to wonder about the English Captain every time they have a decision to make they have a committee meeting.

Six balls have flown through 4th slip but still no 4th slip! One bad ball get pulled for four and straight away a man is put on the fence at square leg.

    I can't follow it?

    I suppose 385 is a par score!

All depends on how England bats and if our boys can get early wickets !

Will be great if we would bat again today .......lol

For me, the highlight of this WACA Third Test would be if Michael Clarke could celebrate his 100th Test with a victory, and if possible a century in his second innings !

Oh, another highlight for me would be seeing Shane Watson posting a decent score to justify his label as a "batsman".
No offence to him, but for the most part, he is more accurately described as a "passenger"
Not good enough for a number 3 batsman

My principle is that if the tail order batsmen are outscoring you more than three times in a series, then you need to be sacked

For the record, Brad Haddin has earnt the tag of "world class batsman" and is not a tailender. He has saved the side numerous times, and is a very competent lower order batsman as we all know

I think 350 is above par we are in a good position but we have to take our catches on difficult chance gone down already.

Agreed, and I think Watson is better off as an opener, he should replace Rogers!

Haddin is in great form and he is filling the void left by Mike Hussey !

Steve Smith needs to make a few more centuries and what the fxxx is Bailey still in the side ??

    Cheers

Oh, thanks for reminding me of Mike Hussey

Total champion, and like many before him, including Matt Haydn, wasnt given a proper opportunity to play Test Cricket for Australia until he was much older

Didnt Mike Hussey (Mr Cricket) leave a huge gaping hole after he left ?

He had the mongrel and will to win, and would never lose his wicket without a massive fight

Well we are not looking too good at the moment we need a wicket England have had a lot of luck but now their starting to look good. Bring on Lyon see what he can do.

England 2 for 90 I think Root was so unlucky to be given out but then up until now England have had all the luck. Its umpires decision so stays out its not any doubt goes to the batsman which is normally the case.

    4 for 180!

I think we are slightly ahead !

Two great catches from Warner and Johnson to take out Cook and Pietersen!

Again great captaincy from Clarkey to put Siddle on Pietersen ! Dismissed him for the 10th times!

May be Steve Smith can get Bell again !!

Day three will be very exciting !

Can Johnson repeat what he did in the 1st inning in Adelaide ?

Can Clarkey make a century on his 100th test?

Can Australia go 3-0 and regain the Ashes!

We will be close to an answer by stumps Sunday night !

4 for 180! I think we are slightly ahead !

    - Looking at the very parched and cracked pitch, in the 40c temperature, and I think the team batting last (ie England) are in trouble. Deep trouble

The first session today is going to be very important we need to get a couple more wickets then we are into the tail which has been a bit fragile so far to say the least.

There is 12 overs left this morning before the new ball!

Clarkey should put Steve Smith on Bell at some point!

Lyon could come in early to get Stokes as well, early wicket is the key, don't let them settle in, Pryor had a bit of form in Adelaide but Board is shaky especially when facing Johnson, then there isn't much resistances from the tail!

C'mon get them all out, I want to see Warner and Clarkey bats !!

    Go Aussie

Ahlungor, I also want to see Shane Watson bat.
Because if he fails this time, with absolutely no pressure (we are 2 up in this series, and are dominating in this test) then I want him sacked

    Go Australia
