When the WL at a shop pays for your time

I’m not a good looking guy.
I’ve been around in the punting scene for over a decade, so I’ve seen most of the usual dynamics play out enough times to know what’s normal and what isn’t.
Booked a 3-hour with my regular one day at shop to the boss. Nothing unusual about it at the start.
We got through the first couple of hours the way we normally do. Then the WL brought up the last hour.
She said she’d pay me back for that hour if I just stayed and kept her company. No sex. Just sit there and listen to her talk.
She framed it like she just wanted someone around for a bit, not as a client thing for that last part.
I wasn’t sure how to take it at first.
We’ve had longer bookings before and she’s talked a fair bit, but she’s never offered to reverse the payment like that. It wasn’t dramatic.
She just put it out there. In the end I stayed for the full three hours.
She did end up paying me back for the last one like she said in cash. We just sat and talked. No sex in that hour.
Then I left.
She was the one covering the time so she could just talk and have someone listen.
Curious if anyone else has had a regular do something like this. Offer to pay you back or cover part of the booking just for company and conversation, no service involved.
Would you guys actually do the same if she asked?

I was asked by a regular not to pay the $100 for the 30 minutes of mainly FIV session.
But I still gave her the $100 nevertheless.

Mate - you’re not the only one. This has happened/happens to me all the time. You can say it’s one of the perks of being a good regular customer.
If that’s by spending a few hrs sitting around chatting, eating after a session - WL paying the room fee for me to stay longer as they don’t want to see others because they are tired or in pain - being allowed to spend the night at the shop instead of heading home as it late - getting credit for the time I never used up - given extra time to set up & pack up, are just a few “perks” I’ve received.
But having said that, to some establishments and lady's I’m regarded as a valued customer and they treat me well, while others take advantage of me and timewaste + cut time short. Those are the places and ladies I avoid, never to come back again.
It’s like I say to the lady’s, “we both work hard for our money. You look after me and I’ll look after you”
I have had -- especially younger girls -- when finished early, ask me to stay as long as possible and just cuddle them. They want a break and some affection.

If you paid for 3 hours, then she paid you back for the third hour, and during the third hour all you did is nothing related to your enjoyment (no massage, no HJ, no sex) then she actually did not "pay you" anything. The third hour's money/fee was yours in the first place. She was not out of pocket. In the third hour she had you as company to talk, she did not perform any service and got paid nothing for doing nothing.

I was a regular at 8 Railway Pde, Burwood 10-15 years ago before it became an Asian shop. I used to see one particular ML each week, and we really enjoyed our time together. One day we were talking and cuddling at the end and I must have stayed for half to an hour extra time. I felt really bad because I didn't want her to get in trouble, but she wasn't worried and I think reception would not have had a problem. I never want to overstay. The girls have to make money while they're at work and the rooms are the house's assets, but this time was just so much stronger a personal connection and neither of us wanted that time to end. Not anything sexual, just a different intimacy that couldn't be faked, or at least she never tried to fake it previously.

Depends on the situation. The OP says 'WL' not 'ML'; if a brothel situation with a WL it is likely the punter pays the full fee to reception and the girl is given her percentage at the end of shift. If she paid him back the full third hour fee that he paid to the shop, she would have been out of pocket by the difference of the full fee that she returned to him and the percentage that she got back from the shop (minus 'room hire') at the end of shift. Or not - not enough detail is given to know for certain either way.
