Usually guys ruin it by being themselves. At first people can put up a front and act cool but after a few meets all that drops and the girls see into our souls and they find nothing there but emptiness and darkness. The ones that also have the same emptiness inside confuse it for kinship or fate and they start developing feelings but both hearts are made of recycled cardboard... And we all know what happens to cardboard when it rains.

I can honestly say I was hooked to punting for 15 years at least. Going every one to two weeks. There’d be periods when I had a girlfriend and went less, but i was addicted for sure. Now in my early 40s, I just don’t feel the need to go as much any more. I have some regulars who know what I like and do a good job and I see them occasionally. Not sure if this gradual pull back happens to many blokes. Now at my age I know what I want and i do my research or go off recommendations before spending the money. I’m more cautious parting with money now despite making more than I ever have. It’s weird. Maybe it’s just maturity.
I was hooked and addicted to punting but have rarely punted over the past 2 years. Had maybe 2 - 3 punts since January 2025. It just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I still check rosters, get excited for 5 seconds then lose interest. Have saved a tonne of $$ despite hanging out with friends and going to social events.
