A long time ago in a place not too far away, a punter was just starting out in the adult massage scene. His first few visits were to Great Natural Massage on Sussex Street where the massage was $60 or $70 for 60 minutes and the price for the happy ending varied from girl to girl - anything from $30 to $50 and one was very lucky if she took her clothes off. This is a sort-of summary of three visits to Great Natural and why I haven't been back since.
Great Natural Massage is in an old building at the southern end of Sussex Street - nearest cross street being Goulburn St. It looks like any other older office building in the area so it's not like you're obviously heading for a RNT or FS place. A quick hike up two flights of stairs, past a Chinese herbal place on the first floor which had awesome aromas coming out of it, and into the foyer. The available girls are usually waiting in the foyer for the next punter. A softly-asked question "Are you here for massage" and the girl takes you off to the room.
The rooms are basically furnished with a side table, chair, and the two-hole massage table. The rooms aren't air conditioned but a pedestal fan is often blowing a light breeze around the room. Not sure about the quality of the sound proofing as on a two occasions I could easily hear activity from the room next door. There is also plenty of road noise from Sussex Street, particularly in the late afternoon - as the visits were usually around 3-4pm on a Friday. In both cases you pay the money upfront before stripping down and getting on the bed. A sign on the door in the room clearly states that sexual services are not offered (both in English and Chinese), which rules out any extras. As a newbie, I wasn't going to push my luck.
Two good punting sayings now come to mind about the services: "You get what you pay for" and "Your mileage will vary". As Great Natural was the first place I'd visited, I was not entirely sure of what I'd be getting myself into. First time was a nice Thai (I think) girl who gave a competent massage and happy ending. No touching was allowed. Got me over the line. As that was my first time I kept my hands to myself. Financial Damage: $90 (inc. $60 for the 60 minute massage, $30 for the clothed happy ending)
Since the first time was quite good all things considered, I thought I'd go back. Second time was a Chinese girl (again, I think) in her late 20s who also gave a competent massage with "special service" (i.e. happy ending). She allowed some light touching of her thighs and lower torso. A quick warning when she thought you got too high meant no fondling of her breasts. She also got me over the line but only after some frantic tugging and taking her clothes off. Financial Damage: $120 ($70 for the 60 minute massage, $50 for the nude happy ending).
Third session: I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt thinking the second one was a bit of a letdown. A young Chinese girl in her early 20s gave a very light-on massage which was basically rubbing her hands over my back and front. No therapeutic benefit there and definitely no touching allowed. Getting into the room at 4:30pm (by my watch and the clock on the wall) and paying for a 60 minute session, I heard something that sounded odd before the session started - like the clock in the room being adjusted. First thoughts - surely she's not tampering with the clock! Didn't raise the issue with her at the time. After the flip-over and a rather lacklustre attempt at the happy ending, she stopped at 5:30pm by the clock and said "time's up". She hadn't got me over the line that time and abruptly finished the session. After getting dressed and thanking her for her attempt (I always be polite to the girls) I headed out. Financial Damage: $110 ($60 for the 60 minute massage (but wait, there's more), $50 for the unsuccessful nude happy ending). When walking up Goulburn Street towards World Square, a glance at the watch said it was 5:15pm. WHAT!!! I paid for a 60 minute session and here I was out on the street and not even 45 minutes has passed since going into the room. I was in no mind to go back and challenge the situation, just chalk it up to experience. Maybe that's why they call it punting: gotta take the bad with the good.
The Bottom Line: The cost of this place is towards the cheaper end of the market for Central Sydney, and one can see why. Can I recommend this place to other brothers? No. Certainly not after the third session. This place is a case of "your mileage will vary." Will I be going back? Not likely.
