Its not that people are being narrow minded, its just that the '50, '60s or early '70s were the most homophobic eras we've had (I spose we were moulded to be narrow minded). Personally growing up in the '60s and '70s there was an expectation that you had to be a mans man. Real men didn't cry, real men never drove an auto, real men always drank beer, real men always drank together and talked footy at a party while the women were in the kitchen drinking chardies and preparing food. Priests told us that homosexuals were devil worshippers (look what's happening to them now), gay hate and gay bashings were common.

Luckily times have changed and we've become a more tolerant society. I have to say, pre op trans is not for me but I'd go for a feminine post op who looked good to me.
