Reputable place. Charged me $320
Took over an hour to service the car, car got well cared for with oil change, filter change, new windscreen wipers, brakes check, the usual service
Given a 10 point service summary and they washed the windscreen for nothing

The brothel down the road wants $300+ with no 10 point check receipt afterward

If you are being charged for your own service as much as for a car service, do you also expect a reasonable body tune up (if you know what I mean) for that amount of money, or do you just care more and pay more for your car to be treated well ?

I would hate to pay that type of money and get treated less well then my car

So I took one of my cars to a Merc dealer. Asked the guy at the counter what they did for $1200. All he said was “we check all the nuts n bolts plus change the oil n filter”. Asked again, same answer.

So I said “I’m basically paying for their stamp in the log book”. Last car that got serviced was another Merc and they didn’t top up the diesel fluid additive even though I told them it was being driven to QLD.

Hard to find good help nowadays.

Anyway the Merc dealers lost the court case recently so things will be changing.

Hi Vincent nice to be able and doing whatever you have time to do. I’ve learnt a lot here by people like you who post and offer reflections of life experience.

The dealerships are a rip off been caught out a few times with dubious repairs - I go to Motoserve they do a great job and I trust them.

I punt to get my nuts and bolts checked out - and that’s value - and I don’t mind paying the price.

If I get a mate to provide a service I always pay more than his quote - why because the friendship requires respect.

Haven’t been there for years. Last time I was there someone tried taking a 911 I had parked in the laneway out the back. Had to get it towed.

They were keen. I’ll give them that. What I didn’t like was the damage caused getting into the car.
