Hi all,
Proceeded to book with a 'high end' escort via text message recently. After agreeing on (price/extras as well as) a date/time that suited, she replied:
"Perfect. I'll just grab your ID and then we can proceed with the deposit."
I'm not comfortable with providing photo ID and texted back same, ending our correspondence there. Too bad because I would have really liked to get with her.
I do understand the sex worker's concern for safety (and screening clients) but my view is that no punt is worth the risk of ID theft or similar. Thoughts?

Hard pass... she may not be sketchy about its use. But we can all just imagine how you're life can be turned upside down quite easily. Too much to loose and not so much to gain. Pussy is pussy my friend, let's leave it like that.

That would be a deal breaker for me. Period.

That woman is not a bank needing 100 point ID verification!!! At the end of the day, you’re just renting a body part called vagina, for an hour.
The risk of providing ID is north worth blowing your rocks off.

Dont do it. These days you need less info to get loans. Not worth the risk.

Bro there's literally a thread on the same page about being blackmailed.
No pussy is worth giving up your ID

Absolutely not! Way too much identify theft going on. Not worth it, not even close. You did the right thing.

OP bro, mind sharing which private was it? Save us all the time and hassle just to be met with this brick wall.
No fricking way I would entrust my photo ID to a WG. Even if she had the best intentions, she wouldn't have any high quality security that was purposefully built to protect your ID. Once it's in her phone, that's it it's just another unsecured piece of data in there. Anyone hacking her phone would get their hands on it. Completely unsafe practice to the punter no matter which way you look at it.

Another option is to ask her for her ID.
“You send me a copy of your drivers licence and I will send you a copy of mine.”

Maybe her boyfriend is into identity theft, or it’s her side hustle.

Or those who patronize prostitutes... seems 2 sides, same coin, to me.

All I'll say is that she's based in Melbourne and (supposedly) toured Sydney last week.

Thank you, everyone.
I hope the requesting of photo ID doesn't become more commonplace. Meanwhile, there are plenty of other fish in the sea.
Safe punting, EmDaddy.

deposit alone is sketchy in my opinion.
I would send them a photoshopped fakie for the shits and giggles.

The stupid thing is, even if a man were to send an ID, say driver's licence, how would this "working woman" know if that man has had several AVOs taken against him, or if he was in jail for rape a while ago, or anything about the risk she is taking in providing sex to him for a fee. Having someone's ID does not offer any safety or verify their character in any way.

my friend works in cyber security, the shit he has told me you wouldn't believe! You will be surprised how far you can get from having someone's ID and phone number...
So hard no for me too.

Seems unfair that she needs your ID when she doesn’t offer her own ID in return.

All this seems trivial given the recent spate of data breaches (PII theft) involving Optus, Medibank, Woollies, Telstra, Centrelink, QLD health, Latitude, Service NSW etc I mean you can literally find passports, drivers license, TFN, bank account details, birth certificates etc on the dark side of the net.
Off the grid, f2f, cash only is the way to go.

No way. Forget about it.
There are thousands of WLs in Sydney. Why make things complicated for yourself.

Last thing you would do is give it to WL or just use your Mclovin ID bro

Honestly, I don’t blame you for being sketched out about handing over your ID like that. It’s like, sure, she wants to feel safe, but what about you? Identity theft is no joke. You could always throw out something like idanalyzer.com (https://www.idanalyzer.com)—it’s a site that can verify IDs without you having to give away all your personal info. That way, she gets what she needs, and you don’t end up with your identity floating around who-knows-where.

That was an agent who asked for your ID. Private WLs never communicate directly with customers.
Anyway you ask for her and agent's IDs first, if you ever receive it (doubt), say thanks and do not send your one.

I had a private apartment hookup with a hot Asian piece, C 23 in Sussex st who was under some sort of gang protection and prior hookup I had to send my pic. No licence just a selfie. Then ran the gauntlet past two guys on the way in. The listing was from E&B and yeah the pics were fake but she was equal in looks so it didn’t matter. It kinda added to the thrill wondering if I was going to get rolled, involved in a fight or have a punt. After I paid her the $350 she left the apartment to hand the money to someone then came back. I was concerned she’d do a runner and as I undressed I only half did on the surmise they all come back in and trouble would start. Anyway she fronted, stripped and we had great sex.

Bro, this sounded like my experience in Japan, except most didn't speak english and I was ready for a fight with the Yakuza. haha
Scary as fuck, I probably don't be doing this even though I tower over most asian men.

Agree with most others , walk away .
My outcalls are in hotels so there shouldn't be any concerns plus if she wants to verify I post a photo with the prescibed amount of cash she asks for as verification .. only did once , met up and was a shit experience.
