I recently got a Meta Quest 3, and quite enjoying the immersive experience it offers, which also includes porn.

I typically join the membership say on vrporn.com then download heaps of videos to local PC then make sure i cancel my membership (cancelling membership can be finicky with certain sites which is done on purpose), typically those videos adding on to my existing colleciton, be good enough for 1 - 2 month of local use. Then if I see bunch of nice new videos I'm eager for something new I'll sign up again. When you compare the $30 monthly fee with the $300 you could have blown on a punt you never really hesistate.

I save all my videos on my desktop PC HDD and use the Meta Quest 3 to load the vids via local cloud, that way you are not limited to internal memory and have instant access to your entire collection. Some torrents sites used to have high quality vr vids (Brazzers, naughtyamerica etc) free for download but I haven't visited those in recent years.

My first into was an old Samsung gear vr headset you'd plonk your phone into and use. To get the idea of how good it it that was perfect. I'm sure you can get one of FB marketplace for free.

For a cheap modern setup, you need something standalone (doesn't need a gaming PC) to run. Again I'd go 2nd hand on FB marketplace and get a meta to keep the price down.

The Samsung GearVR was good when it came out. Cheap/almost e-waste nowadays due to fact you'll need a phone that still works with it. I believe the last phone to support it was like the Galaxy S9, which you could probably pick up for <$200. I had a S7 that worked, but you could see it struggling at times. Just make sure you get a decent condition screen, because I remember being able to see even the smallest scratches.

A brand new Meta Quest 3s is $500, and Meta Quest 3 is $800. There are plenty of people selling off both models that are "hardly used". Keep in mind, it's also great to watch regular movies in you're own big screen virtual cinema.

Fyi for anyone looking for a beefier headset that does connect to a laptop. You've got to be really careful with what connections it has as 99% of laptops can't handle it even with a GPU.

Meta Quest 3. I run Heresphere as the player, it's easy to connect to the Handy once you have it set up. I also recommend XBVR which allows you to stream the videos from your local network rather than having to drag and drop large video files (you still have to drag and drop the funscripts though).

Handy v2 is coming out soon if you'd rather wait for that. Mine is v1 and it does annoy me that it has to be plugged in to work. It's also quite noisy which doesn't matter as I am not using it when the missus is in the house but might matter for some.
