Last month I decided to get waxed. I did a bit of research and found a couple of places with good reviews, but for some reason I ended up going to a massage place in Pendle Hill instead.

As soon as I got there, the place already felt a bit off. I even noticed some weird writing on the door that should’ve been a warning, but I ignored it and rang the buzzer anyway.

A lady answered and told me the person who does waxing wasn’t there. I was honestly relieved and started leaving. Then she called me back and said someone else could do it, so I went back upstairs.

I was introduced to the lady who would do the waxing. She looked older and dressed a bit unusually, but at that point I just wanted to get it over with. I got on the table, she put some white cream on, and told me to wait for a bit.

When she came back, she asked for payment and kept offering extra services, which I declined. Then instead of actually waxing, she basically scooped off the hair after it melted from the cream.

After that, she sent me to shower, I got dressed, was offered a bottle of water, and left.

The result wasn’t great. It looked more like a bad shave than a proper wax. Definitely not something I’d do again.

Sounds like she applied Nair (hair removal cream). Did it slightly feel hot a few minutes after applying the cream.

Nair has a very strong pungent smell, but I agree with the above. Got gipped- how much did it cost you 😂

Yes it did feel hot a few minutes, lol so that's what it's called.

I guess the smell got overpowered by old people smell 🤣. It's $120 front and back.

So went in for a wax and got hair removal cream. Did you ask where’s the wax or what are you doing or just went with the flow? Seems like u got stitched up

Then off the cliff...

Think of it like this: the only reason you're here is that one of your ancestors thought "something a bit off about that cave...", "something a bit off about that trail...", "something a bit off about that food..." and then LISTENED to those thoughts. That's evolution talking; you should listen.

Lesson learned.

"Waxing Available, Please Knock If You’ve Made Poor Life Choices"

Lol more like "hair removal cream application falsely advertised as waxing available........for an exorbitant price"

Is this the place under the stairs next to the station?

The 10 signs out the front is too loud for me. No back entrance either

Lesson learned indeed, my ancestors would be ashamed next time I'll visit renwick or that 197 in the city🤣

What did the writing say?

It said something along the line of "ring for the drug man"

I’ve thought about trying it out but I know there is much better elsewhere near by

When I scoped it I saw a young guy go in and not immediately come back out, so he must of liked what he saw and stayed

Curious, stayed for providers or for food? Because, IME, it could be either. You take a sample, then the dreaded curry blowout hits, man, you're on that shitter for hours, afraid to move, afraid of being unprepared for when the next forceful ejection occurs. You are just caught with your pants down.

Laser is much better than waxing.
