So last week I was all set to head down to Sydney for a punt. Jumped in the shower, because I'm a thoughtful punter I grabbed the scissors and started to trim my pubic hair. From out of nowhere I had a sharp pain in my ball sack, it felt like an absolutely moronic imbecile had cut their own nuts. After 5 days my little boys have healed and I'm off the bench and back in the game.

What silly injuries or mishaps have you had that benched you from punting?

For around $50, you can buy a battery-operated trimmer from one of the Shaver Shops in most Westfield shopping centres.
Much better and safer than using razors.

About 10 years ago aggravated a groin injury playing soccer. Painful doing anything down there for months. I was defo on the bench.

I’ve dislocated my knee mid punt. In doggy and my kneecap got caught in a soft mattress and out it came. Somehow managed to finish (the whole pleasure/pain thing helped here) and sort of rolled off the side of the bed and put it back in place (if you ever dislocate a knee cap don’t try to hit or push it back in, try to pull your foot up and kick and it will go back in).

Limped to the shower and needed some help getting my shoes on afterwards. Was out for a few weeks to let it settle down

No partner but I’ve had both knees reconstructed and am in double digits for popping out each knee cap.

Funniest one for me wasn’t actually punting but had taken a girl home and I had hung these metal lanterns from the bedroom ceiling with those 3m hooks. One of the lanterns fell off and got me in the back of the head which left a little cut so had to stop and go get some stitches

Took me more than a week before I could put on clothes without feeling much pain. I regret nothing.
