It depends on the venue I think. With Ginza for example it's probably ok for line up if they do one (sometimes they'll just show you the iPad).

I do lineups at for example Kyoto or Sakura or 42G. You can pick up the vibe from a girl with lineup there and it could improve your chances of a star.

I've given up line ups at N5M as even though they have a massive roster, everytime I went I only see about 3 girls. I reckon the mamasan holds out on girls so that they can push the unpopular ones onto pop ins.

The last time I did a line up was at kyoto206. That was when I started.. And yes, I agree with what Meng posted.

As soon as I moved on to other venues, I mostly book whom I’ve been with before. I’m not the adventurous type lol. Who to book? I’ve mostly followed the top brass’ ARs on here.

There's always a trade-off.

If it's taken inside the shop, it's probably mostly legit, though processed to some degree. Booking in advance gets you the girl you have an interest in, at least per photo. Good or bad, you'll know what her experience is like with you.


Line-up
A line-up allows you to gauge the interest of the girl with you, if you can read the room. Major clues are eye contact and a smile. Downside is it's pot-luck; whoever is available at the time.


After awhile, you'll have a feel for which shop's photos are legit.

Personally, in SYD, I use shop photos. Only a few times has it been "no match". While she might not be an identical match, I concentrate on the positives and don't dwell on the negatives. Elsewhere, in bars, I take a "meet and greet" approach.

Just remember, in RnT's, it's YMMV. Only you will know what's good for you.

Like, recently I checked out this chick at 512A Rocky; photos matched the profile, lineup was spot on, I’m thinking beauty, finally some honesty in the system. Then she gets her kit off and surprise! massive front tattoo. A full cover-up job, looked like someone spilled paint across her front. Not mentioned or shown anywhere of course. Bit of a jump scare, but she performed alright.

So yeah, moral of the story: photos and lineups are basically movie trailers.

If you’re booking a private never enter or walk too far inside the door of the provider until you get a good look! You want to escape fast if they catfish you.
Line ups rock but if you are keen on someone but still want the line up too phone ahead and book and let the staff know. Nothing worse than a line up of uglies and the girl you want is not there or unavailable and nothing worse too when your booking does not meet your needs

YUP Agree with Brother Meng and sticking to a lineup will depend on shop.

Of course its always better to stick with lineup when going to shops that aren't known to have accurate pics plus you get to see if the girl likes you or has good attitude if she's yawning and looking elsewhere in a lineup I'd personally avoid even ifs she's pretty AF as could be a star fish.... but the downside of this method is that at the very busy shops you're almost certain not to see the top stars in the lineup and thats when you're gonna have to go with ur gut and pick based on those with good AR so due ur research otherwise shop around if you're not afraid to walk out some places can be very pushy and will try to find you a girl so they don't lost a customer.
