Hi all~ many of my customers know that I'm a food fighter. I'm not afraid of try new things and apparently i like to put something inside my mouth. I enjoy mouthful moment... (Hehe)
So here i brought some k dishes that you can try when you want to try some new,
or you can just pretend to be kfood expert when you hang out with kgals, you might impress them.
noob
Many people still don't know well about kfood except kimchi, as we know we korean love kimchi but that's not all about korean food. There are some popular dishes that you can easily find out in k-restaurant, and those are kind of easy-going taste food so my foreigner friends, they liked it.
1. Bul go gi - marinated beef
http://i.imgur.com/n3bzzH9.jpg
sweet ★★★★☆
spicy ☆☆☆☆☆
2. Sam ge tang - chicken ginseng soup
http://i.imgur.com/nwb1SYNm.jpg
spicy ☆☆☆☆☆
sweet ☆☆☆☆☆
feel strong after finish ★★★★★
prepare this winter ★★★★★
3. jap chae - stir fried potato noodle
http://i.imgur.com/HaPLjiK.jpg
I made this to my ex and he cried ★★★★★
just try, you won't disappoint.
Intermediate
you can slowly build up your k-food level with these simple but not very popular for foreigner dishes.
1. kim bob
http://i.imgur.com/a0Crkf8.jpg
it looks exactly same as Japanese sushi roll, but more delicate, taste (because its ingredients), and tasty.....(IMO)
try cheese kim bob, tuna kim bob too.
2. mool naeng myun
http://i.imgur.com/XPeJwZY.jpg
cold noodle soup, which is one of my favourite kfood all the time. you can simply order in k-bbq place, and perfectly suit with grilled galbi..... aww... yum....
many of my friends complained that it not really..... has taste?! like they said...not very salty, or sweet or spicy...
they will serve bottle of mustard and vinegar, and you should pour those two to your naeng myun bowl very carefully to find your own taste.
once you find your perfect naeng myun, you never gonna have rice in bbq place. (I prefer K bbq place than japanese, chinese bbq because Kplace has naeng myun!)
3. soon dae
http://i.imgur.com/rOV1u9o.jpg
It made generally by boiling or steaming cow or pig's intestines that are stuffed with various ingredients. It is a kind of blood sausage and believed to have been eaten for a long time. (from wikipedia)
don't be scared yet with its image and description... lol
it's kinda after soul food for kgals, I always have this after school with my gangs. ttopoki and this are perfect duo indeed...

you might not like these, but worth to try because I like it(?????)

oh that's bbq city! and that karaoke is gangnam style karaoke!
I often go 'obaltan', '678' for kbbq in city but hardly go to 'bbq city' and 'madang' which is the most popular for foreigner.

I don't think their cold. I've seen a number of Koreans and they've been friendly and fucking hot, really getting into things and offering a great service. One thing i've liked is that they treat me like a king. They'll undress me, fold my clothes, offer drinks and to take care of all my needs - enthusiastically and passionately.

Right now there's this dish I'm really liking.
It's sour old kimchi soup with pork belly. It's so hard to make at home so I always go out and eat it.
When you combine that with Korean fried chicken.
Totally awesome.
Forgot to mention. Go the side dishes too

my favorites in no particular order;
best bbq; kwang bok in strathfield. They butcher their own meat, very fresh, real charcoal and everyone is drunk. Wash your hair afterwards.
best sam gye tang; used to be se jong in campsie but they closed. second best is probably hanabi in lidcombe. Don't bother trying it at ceci in strathfield... frozen tasteless chicken and broth is just salty water.
best naeng myun; all of them are no good. Cannto find any which is even half as good as real naeng myun in korea. Noodles here are too overcooked and not chewy, soup doesn't have real flavor
best bu dae jji gae and kamja tang; madang. bbq not much good here though.
best po jang ma cha; the bassak in strathfield. The mandoo next door is hit and miss also depend on who is working. All mandoo hand made but some times oversteamed by young workers.
best dean doenjang jjigae; its the one I make
best bibimbab gochujjang; its the one I make
Happy to share recipes
My opinion : gam ja tang in city naruwon, (it's bit changed after they did renovation)
in straty redchilli's hotpots are generally ok.
I agree that kwang bok is ok..
Try Hanyang galbi. They serve best side dishes.
Jo ja ryong's 7minute galbi also ok la~ (It's ground floor of al..alrose apartment building)
The mandoo! Forgot to mention it... So good.. I was addicted that place for a while but maybe i had too much. I don't go anymore!

Hi Christmas, ala Jerry, I enjoy you contributions on this forum thank you.
I have been tempted to visit you but the shops you work at all seem to have variable rates with extra for this and that so I have stayed with my usuall shop where I know what the charges are and what I can expect for my $150 per hour which includes every thing I want.
And all you guys that say the girls aren't young at the shop I go to at present there is a beautiful 21 year old that actually gives good no not good great service so why spend more per hour?
Good luck to you Jerry if you can earn more per hour and get plenty of work if I were a working lady I would want to earn as much per hour as possible and work as few an hours as necessary.
Let's face it if you like sex and only have it with the customers you like what could be better
Good on you Jerry and I wish you well!

you guys know recently I have been working at Gladesville.. so eat out @Eastwood a lot.
If you guys like spicy food,
try Jean's chilli chicken (it's in Eastwood hotel)
try their chicken feet, spicy level 10 out of 10
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OFfkrKpTwus/UGrmQ8s2xtI/AAAAAAAAAA0/cX7Vz1TDMWk/s1600/jeans+chilli+chicken.jpg
Dissert !!!! try bingsoo, @Eastwood plaza (restaurant name : the honest kitchen, It's just 30seconds from main door of plaza)
https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/l/t51.2885-15/s640x640/sh0.08/e35/12120411_106426183090969_1335793569_n.jpg?ig_cache _key=MTIxNTA2NjQ3NDY1MDc1NzYyMQ%3D%3D.2
It's just shaved ice cream but I think I can die for it
If you like sea food, try 청담횟집 (1-7 Rowe St Eastwood NSW)
https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s320x320/e35/c135.0.810.810/14723227_1815613225326365_7966737281186791424_n.jp g?ig_cache_key=MTM3NjU5OTIwODM3ODc4MTkzMw%3D%3D.2. c
Could be a bit pricey, but what to do? it's yum though
It's like Korean style sashimi, they freshly slice a live fish (活魚) and serve..
Try "Hoedeopbap", it's literally bibimbap+sashimi on top..
they have some fusion menu as well, like bulgogi+fish and chips... I tried it and wasn't bad!
I like ginger and shallot too.. that's all I know about the other side of Eastwood :(

The 2 places in eastwood where the taste never changes since like 20 years.
Hyukuya - Sushi/Sashimi: (Closed Sundays, CASH ONLY PPLS)
Korean side on the corner just from the crossing before the police station/across the road from yogoberry)
Poong - KBBQ and mool naeng myun (Owner changes, recipe and meat vendor doesn't)
Chinese Side, opposite to eastwood public - 100% can put money down the mool naeng myun is one of the nicest ones you will try in sydney
PS - Don't eat the korean fried chicken here, you've been warned. If you like breaking the rules get ready to taste disappointment and disappointment is not good.
Lavinge - Korean Bakery
Korean Side, right next to the ALDI shopping centre carpark entrance
Much better than Pishon (one across the road) and also the coffee is pretty nice here too (there is more seats at the back, you can have the bread and coffee together if you want. There used to be a smoking section at the back i think they still have like 1 table available for it not too sure)
Dont know what the store is called, I think its The Honest Kitchen - italian food but more korean style
Its pretty good bro... - ALDI Shopping Centre (Korean Side)
Jeans Chilli Chicken - Eastwood Hotel
Well known all round, you get either the chilli chicken (korean/eng translation fire chicken lol) or chilli chicken feet. I aint about that chicken feet life namean .. looks so.. anyways.
For your non regulars - If you are a dude and you go there with 1 girl you will always get service (free riceball thing) from the owner.
He is a short bit chubby guy - if you dont see him, head into the pokies room dollar machine he is going to be either on stallions or a machine nearby (dollar machine only cuzzies)
Cant remember more because once you are raised in eastwood for so long .. its pretty fucking shithouse lol.
For the shaved icecream
Bakery Cafe - Lidcombe its like 2 shops to the right of Cherry Beans, KTOWN side (dunno ktown, not the dooleys side the side where all the lebos always do their weddings or maccas side)
Try it out, you will like it
Would write more but honestly I cannot be fucked anymore, will edit soon. (soon can mean a long time, I said i would gym soon .. its been 4 months now and counting)

He is a short bit chubby guy - if you dont see him, head into the pokies room dollar machine he is going to be either on stallions or a machine nearby (dollar machine only cuzzies)
what... I didn't know riceball is freebie lol I thought It's set meal or something. I, personally, don't go Jean's chicken often.. It's too spicy for me. but whoever likes extreme spicy food.. I highly recommend this place

Not much people know, but the owner usually always gives it out for free if you go as a couple (not very hard to become friends with him). Just be aware he is a bit of a creep to girls lol. One time he found out it was my bday so he gave me a chocopie with a chicken feet placed on it resembling candles lol
Other than that, the pub food at eastwood hotel is horrible just go for the chicken and chicken feet
