When my kids changed schools about 3 years ago we made some new friends 4 married couples with great kids, anyway all couples were church goers, all couples had a date night with no kids once a week and all 4 couples are now separated the last one being last week, the only common denominater is me and my wife, so I have come to the conclusion that we wreck marriages. For the record we do not go to any sort of church and only have a date night if our kids are at parties at the same time. So if anyone is looking to break up there marriage give me a call, no do not only joking.
A GF and I once hosted a board games night for some colleagues from work. After that evening - the highlight of which featured a massive argument between one couple over Pictionary - said couple had split within a year, another couple within 3 years, and the third couple after 5... by which time they'd been married and had 2 kids! So there must be at least 2 of us working our magic.
Or it's just the law of averages!

Is it 2 out of 3 marriages end in divorce? As long as everyone around us is breaking up we are good.

Ok you got it.
1 - make you partner or wife laugh, just like it was when you started going out, do silly things if you have to.
2 - hug and a kiss good morning and the same at night.
3 - if the amount of sex drops off make sure when you do have sex it is long and intense.
4 - I clear my wife's dinner plate after dinner every night, she loves that.
5 - a surprise kiss followed up with I love you every so often goes a long way.
There are other small things I do but chocolates and flowers gets old, flowers 3 to 4 times a year tops, once on her birthday and surprise her every now and then with a bunch and mix it up you do not need to buy roses all the time.
This is the hard one every now and then I go shopping with her and I hate shopping and she knows it but it gets brownie points. We have been together for 25 years so she knows me, so when you do something with her that you do not like they remember that more than chocolates or flowers.
