Why do partners cheat?

Was speaking with a friend who's been in a relationship with his new girlfriend for just over a month. It seemed to all be going well, but he noticed some minor changes in behaviors.

At first he thought he was over analyzing and giving the benefit of the doubt, but the behavior started to get more varied, and there were inconsistentencies with her stories.

He doesn't have confirmation but he's pretty sure she's up to something. We've been hypothesizing and trying to figure out what she's up to. Hence the question...

So to all the learned bros here, have you ever experienced something similar, or found out your partner was up to no good....and what happened, e.g. Did you confront her, over look it, end the relationship etc. or what were the reasons...

Looking for opinions, thoughts and experiences to help out with this one.

Yeah cheating after only 1 month means the cheating partner must be dissatisfied about something that he/she didn't know about before hooking up. I know a girl who cheated because her new bf had a small dick. I didn't believe her at first but she demonstrated it to me with her fingers and I had to admit, she had a point.
I reckon your friend should just move on if it's confirmed his gf is cheating. No point forcing something that's not meant to be.

She is cheating, except my friend is the 3rd party. Turns out she has a boyfriend who lives overseas and was clearly with my mate whilst he wasn't here.

but for me there are several reasons :

1 - i like to punt and explore lol
2 - i wanna know i still got what girls want
