So saw and ad for a massage shop for sale in annerly (hue). Asking price is 15k!!!. All I can think of is the castle " tell them there fucken dreaming." Anyway I put the value of that place at 1.5 2 k tops. A couple of massage beds some loose furniture towels and sheets. That's at most a grand. So there saying its 14,000 of good will for the massage business. I don't fucken think so. If It does get sold at this price. My I get there details as I have some shares in a plantation forest that may be interested in.

tommy thumb, you've obviously never looked into buying an established business. The net worth of a business is more than the assets they own. Have a look at the books before you jump to conclusions. Depending on what the net yearly earnings are for the business, $15k could be a steal. I'm guessing this place would have two sets of books though.

True for most businesses but my guess is that they wouldn't even have a set of books , never mind paying tax or anything , with an average of 2 girls working per day can't see it worth $15k

Correct. As well as the client base. Assets are usually the last thing you look at when buying a business.

Popeye u missed my point. The only thing of any value at this shop is the assets. Iv looked into buying a massage shop previously. And stand by what Iv said about this shop. It has a poor name on this site. A very poor customer base. The few times Iv been to this shop have been told the same thing from the ml. That it a good weekday if the shop gets 4 customers. The shop will have 2 to 3 girls on. Sunshine and stanly st befor the raid would do around 40. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

So just doing some quick sums
Working on 30 / 30 / 30 rule.... 30% wages, 30% overhead & 30% profit & the average punt being (consrvative) $60 then that means the owner clears $20 per customer. 40 a day = 280 a week, which is 5600 a week income, or 280K a year, a good little earn.

Assuming the stated numbers are correct for Hue & also assuming weekend = double weekday then 50 punts per week @ $20 per in income is only 1K a week or 50K a year, not really worth the risk of an employee breaking the law.

That's what happens when we let our small heads rule over our big heads. I bet we don't even keep track on how much we spent until it's too late

I just redid, not so bad after all
Assume owner clearing $20 per punt & 40 punts per day = $800 per day x 7 days = $5600 per week * 52 weeks = $291,200 a year

I rounded weeks down to 50 last night

I wish I could earn 1/3 of that

Not convinced Hue ever did 40 bookings a day let alone consistently

40 a day? Don't they only have 2 girls working? From what I hear they are lucky to get 40 customers a week, which seems evident by the selling price of $15K. At 40 punters a day they would be more likely wanting $150K than $15K.

Also, the massage industry pays staff about 45-50% of sales.

40 a day for Stanley St, the number mentioned for Hue was 4 a day

Income @ Angie's cleared well over a million a year, minus some costs of course.

The tax man was the Baccarat Table lol

She prob has the best idea. As all the tips go to the girls anyway. There is no real gain for the owner. As long as the punters keep rolling in. She's still making good coin.

Gpeck think you have your wires crossed don't think Angies have ever been mentioned in courier mail and second I doubt that they would make a million !!!

Even the busiest of shops like sunshine girls would find it hard to do more than 9 customers per day say shop splits fee half $35 xnumber of girls say 4 girls by 7days by number customers say 9 work that out no where a million !!!!

So you are gullible as well as stupid?

At full capacity the most they could make is $1.75mil. Assuming they could even reach full capacity let alone maintain it EVERY day, this is then reduced by the discount days, discounts for 1 hour bookings, multi hour bookings, time lost between sessions, time lost for the foot spa, time lost for cancellations because customer asked for extras up front etc.

From what I can see, the figure is definitely less than a million.

I suggest you don't believe everything you read, especially if you wrote it. :miao:

The absolute a shop in Brisbane would make is around 750k. There are only a couple of shop with enough girls and rooms to get anywhere near this amount. Smaller less busy shops with 2/3 girls would be around 70k
These are turn over amount the girls would take half of this as pay.

So saw hue massage shop for sale on gumtree . Good luck to anyone wanting to buy as the add reads that it is a rented house not a commercial premises so anyone taking over and paying 15grand would probably at some time get booted out by council for running a commcial business from a private house !!

Not only that. There is no security for the business. What happens if u buy it and the realestate/owner don't give u another lease. With commercial normal terms are 3 to 5 with options. I just don't understand what they are trying to sell. Good luck to them. There's bound to be a fool out there.
