Japan for sights, food tours.
Totally agree with b00bs, but Macau, is worth considering. Great food, especially in the Portuguese area, and i have never seen so many hookers, in one place in my life, from every nationality across the globe. The walk from one Casino to another (can some one refresh my memory, Wynn to somewhere) was an experiance to behold. I picked up a girl in a Casino, early 20’s, a hairdresser from Vietnam, working in Macau during the day, and nighttime activities when she had a day off. Doesn’t beat Thailand, but it’s worth considering. A major bonus, is people think you’re going there to gamble, and not on a sex tour which they think if you go to Thailand
Japan for sakura season. Nice weather and sights. However, peak season so everything is expensive.
Babycat is 100%.
Hana mi, or the tradition of viewing the cherry blossom flowers, is a beautiful time of the year to visit.
Cold enough to enjoy then onsen, but not snowing.
Lots of festivals around, and the food is sublime.
If you do go, I suggest Southern Kyushu. Kagoshima and Miyazaki.
Theres an awesome onsen near Mount Sakurajima. The seasonal food in these prefectures is so good.
Chicken Nanban, Judori Chicken, Chicken Sashimi, Kuro Kirishima Shochu on the rocks!!! Miyazaki Gyu is the best Wagyu in Japan.
Just my 2 cents.

Let's not overrun another thread with poor banter. Poor on your behalf Lenka/Jeter.
Cmon.... bring it in big fella. Come have a cuddle.
OP, if you would like more info on Southern Kyushu, or Bangkok/Pattaya/Koh Chang or Koh Samet (beautiful islands in Thailand, I know some spots you can get pussy on Koh Chang).... just PM me mate. I dont want to clog your thread with the other bloke flinging monkey poo.

Would Koh Chang and some of those other nearby islands be a little weather beaten this time of year ?
Would Koh Chang and some of those other nearby islands be a little weather beaten this time of year ?
I am not sure brother.
I have been to Koh Chang 6 times, and always around January February. Weather has been great.
Ohhhh..... but Koh Samet..... brothers, the resort on Ao Thapthim is not expensive, and just heavenly. The chef is a gun!! If you can hold your nose past Rayong, and just get on the boat...... maaaaan, Ao Thapthim is the best to relax. Not to party, but just eat, drink and enjoy the sun and surf.... so good.
You can pick up a girl for about 1200-1500 for a week in Pattaya. Take her with you!
Again, I am not sure of the weather patterns.
Koh = island
Chang = Elephant
Ao = beach or bay
Thapthim = Ruby.

Sakura is in April, but now in autumn the countryside is quite beautiful. Don't believe the hype that Japan is expensive. Like any place, it can be if you are not careful, but overall accommodation and food can be cheaper than in Sydney.
The fun part will be difficult, p4p usually expensive and restricted for foreigners. But very easy to get a non pro for some fun.

My bad bro!!
But no, 1200-1500 AUD.
That's for an agogo girl.
For one solid week.
1200-1500 baht might get you a bj at the bj bars on Soi 6.

Chicken Nanban, Judori Chicken, Chicken Sashimi, Kuro Kirishima Shochu on the rocks!!!
Chicken Sashimi? TF? Ewww.. the only thing I would eat sashimi style is seafood, lobster sashimi yum... haha what's with all the chicken dishes? Go Japan for the ultra fresh seafood, ramen, waygu and Kobe beef

Well... I didnt want to state the obvious by saying "go to Japan for the sushi and sashimi!"
Judori chicken eaten sashimi style is really good. It is native to Miyazaki. Its super clean. I have eaten it only in Japan. It is very sought after in this region.
Kuro Kirishima shochu is also from Miyazaki, and is the cleanest shochu to drink on the rocks.
But yes, the seafood is excellent.
In Japanese supermarkets, the fish section is as big as the meat section in the average Australian supermarket. And there is no fishy smell at all. When I lived there, I ate fish everyday. Miso soup and rice for breakfast everyday.
I cant comment on Hokkaido or Honshu. I have only lived on Kyushu.
The strangest thing I have eaten.... was in the forest of Trat, South Eastern Thailand.
Fresh chicken blood and rice.
Just those 2 things, for breakfast.
I couldn't say no, it would have been the utmost insult to the family I was staying with.

When's a good time during the year to travel to thailand?

I thought that about fish sashimi, until I tried it.
There is also beef sashimi in Japan, for those who like their beef "rare".
Depends where you are going and what you want to do.
If you want to party compared to chillaxing.... you want to party when there is alot going on. But there is ALWAYS something to do in Bangkok or Pattaya.
Relaxing during the low season but still warm.
Trust me on the chicken sashimi.
I have eaten 100's of times, never been sick.

Put your money where your mouth is big boy.
Or are you just a fake ass, like your shill reviews??
Go on, I'll bet 2k I can prove I've been to Japan. 2k, cash.
Want to take that bet?
I dont think you will, because you dont have the balls.
Or the money.
You'd be lucky to have $2
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/what-is-jidori-chicken_b_1984579
".....The original Jidori chicken began when a precious pure breed of chicken called Hinaidori was crossed with the Rhode Island Red to create Akita Hinai-jidori, with Akita referring to the prefecture of Japan, and Hinai referring to the town. The chickens are fed an all-vegetarian diet, including clover, tomatoes, and apples. They are delivered the same day of slaughter, insuring freshness -- so much so that Hinai-jidori chickens are served sashimi-style. Yup, raw....."
So Lenka/Jeter..... that restaurant your mate has, are you sure that's not a McDonalds??

@ Hu6e everything you post is based on google, you have not been to Japan or Thailand for that matter.
Japan has lots of great food, but Chicken Sashimi is not one of them. The native Japs will even tell you that.
You are an idiot. Go google more.

Again.... I bet you... fuck it.... 3k that I can prove I've been to both countries.
I've got 3k sitting in an account somewhere.
Shit, I've even got photos of me eating judori in an izakaya.
Easiest money I'll ever make.
I'm serious mate.
Let's do this dance cowboy.
And then I can show you up to be the weak minded fool that you are.
Stand by your word, if you do have a punting budget that is.
And when I am done taking your money, I will still hug you.
Because I dont hate you.
I think you hate yourself.

I saw chicken sashimi in Japan a month ago when I was there, but I wasn’t adventurous enough to give that a try, the Japanese even eat one type of fish that would destroy one’s central nervous system if not processed properly, and a number of death every year, I’m just not that game to risk that for a meal which I might not even like the taste ! ;) ;) ;)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fugu
Fugu can be lethally poisonous due to its tetrodotoxin; therefore, it must be carefully prepared to remove toxic parts and to avoid contaminating the meat.[2]
The restaurant preparation of fugu is strictly controlled by law in Japan and several other countries, and only chefs who have qualified after three or more years of rigorous training are allowed to prepare the fish.[2][3] Domestic preparation occasionally leads to accidental death.[3]
...
Fugu is the only food the Emperor of Japan is forbidden by law to eat, for his safety.[12]
...
Whole fish may not be sold to the general public
...
Since 1958, fugu chefs must earn a license to prepare and sell fugu to the public. This involves a two- or three-year apprenticeship. The licensing examination process consists of a written test, a fish-identification test, and a practical test, preparing and eating the fish. Only about 35 percent of the applicants pass.[17] Small miscalculations result in failure or, in rare cases, death.
...
The symptoms from ingesting a lethal dose of tetrodotoxin may include dizziness, exhaustion, headache, nausea, or difficulty breathing. The person remains conscious but cannot speak or move. Breathing stops and asphyxiation follows.
There is no known antidote, and treatment consists of emptying the stomach, giving the person activated charcoal to bind the toxin, and putting them on life support until the poison has worn off.
...
The role of the Fugu chef is not to eliminate the toxin altogether, but to reduce it, to the extent that the diner experiences effects of mild intoxication, including waves of euphoria and tingling sensations

I would probably try chicken sashimi once just to experience it and only in Japan because I know how next level OCD their food prepping skills are, but even so. I'd probably just be thinking about all Salmonella I would contracting each mouthful. Haha

Ahhh... Ko Chang... That island brings back alooot of memories... Living in wooden bungalows on the beach, swimming in the sea, with the mountains in the back drop, spending nights with my first Thai girlfriend... eating pizza and listening to blues at Oodie's... Fun fact, did you know I wrote an EP just from this experience on the island? 5 songs in less than an hour, after waking up at 3.00 am one night...! But... that was a very long time ago... Thank you for that little reminder...

I’ve had horse sashimi... it’s one of those things you only do once.
It would appear Lenka/jeter was wrong.
Hahaha.... "..I'll bet all my punting budget..".
You gonna hand over that cash now, or when I see you for that cuddle?
