Yes, it was, all fitted out. No expense spared.
    But Landlord not Happy Jan.
You'd think someone would be Happy their empty Old House is Leased after being empty for a while.
There's probably beet some lack of Communication somewhere along the Line.
Shame, I love that Shop. Had Space, Comfort and Privacy. 😢
Hopefully , the new one can go some ways to meeting the same standards.

So the landlord im guessing paid for the fitout to be used as a massage shop. They get a suitable tenant and now it will be empty again. Must be something going on there.

I don't think the Landlord paid for anything, from what i gather. Just, it seems, not Happy with the Fitout and the type of Business.

Surely they cant kick a tenant out who just forked out big money for a fitout?

Gotta say, the new venue was fantastic! So much space. Definitely one of my favourite venues. Had a lot of fun in those showers. What a shame.

You've still got this weekend to try it out if you haven't.
Hopefully, some of this can be replicated in the New Venue, but just not sure on that Fit out detail at this stage.

This happened to another prominent owner recently.

I understand finding a venue is hard, but if the owner has no idea it’s a massage business or is blind to the reality, they need full disclosure.
Neighbours are the biggest problem. Nobody wants a sex shop next to them cause the customers are fucking idiots.
Leaving condoms lying around and acting like perverts.

I just hope other owners do their homework before doing this. It’s an expensive mistake.
    Greed sometimes leads to desperation.

Wish all these ambitious owners well. They at least give a shit about running a shop properly.

This is the thing Fungus....Full Disclosure..Hmmm.
Good in Principle, just harder in reality.
How do you explain it to people who have minimal Understanding of the law etc. They need to be fairly open minded.
They tried to be as Discreet as possible. Very little signage. Usually only 2 girls working.

This venue was found as Necessity, to replace Mollison. That venue also had Landlord issues and is being sold.
(They never wanted to fix anything, but keep upping the Rent.)
Ideally, you would Buy the Property, but its a big outlay. $1.5 to $2 M
Around West End is a lot of older Properties, that are Mixed use Commercial/ Residential.
So you could have neighbours who are either.
And often most of them don't like, what you represent.
And remember when searching for the Property you're trying to appease Punter expectations
Me being one, who kept giving feedback about what was needed, to be a successful shop.

    I understand.
Is there any industrial sites that are possible?
Spending a huge amount of money only to have a lease torn up is bad news.
Either a solicitor needs to do an iron clad lease with penalties for cancelling or the owner needs to be aware exactky what the business is and how discreet they will be.

No matter owner and management discretion, customer fuckwits are gonna act like tards and make it difficult.

I sympathise as Kat is one of the better owners in the industry and her and the other owner that got stung deserve a reward……but getting all your ducks in a row is part of an expensive learning curve.
Patience required in finding a new venue and making sure there are no weasel outs for a chicken shit owner or find a vacant lot where the owner is desperate for anyone to rent.
Kats pretty smart so im sure she has good people advising her. Hope she gets rewarded for her next location.
