The written expiry date is one thing, the main thing for me is going beyond the expiry date. I tend to buy in bulk and let the meds expire. Doing that on dry pills is fine cos the worst thing I can expect is maybe slower or not 100% efficacy. Think about that scene from The Wolf of Wall Street when they took expired qualludes. Something like that but on dick pills.

On the gels it's a different story. These are meds in a liquid medium. The liquid (ie. life giving H2O) opens up a whole different world of bad things that can happen such as fungus and bacterium. I'd rather not!
